Facebook For Business Sucks! And It Really Sucks Bad
rpsmith replied to simplygenius's topic in Social Media
In my experience with FB ads, it was a very costly venture with little results. I actually had better luck with post boosting or page promotions. I also learned the hard way that your choice of keywords and demographics choices has alot to do with my results. -
I don't know anything about this particular mining site, but in my experience most of these turn out to be scams.

As with most advertising, you have to be consistent with herculist. You can't be spotty or hit and miss. Even if you are a free member, you can still purchase solo ads. Consistency and persistence are the two keys that get results.

This is the same type of scheme used by Digital Attitude. I joined them for awhile till they started pressuring me into the first upgrade.

I have also noted that even sound business models can be labeled scams if they are not run properly.

No, you are not being crrabby. I have noticed the commercials too. It gets quite irritating to watch a commercial every few minutes. Makes me want to dump Youtube entirely.

I joined this site a few days ago. Their layout seems a bit confusing. I still don't really get the point of this site.

Mailers are a good way to get referrals. I use them alot. Another possibility is to promote on social media. Be careful about the latter though, it can get expensive.

I agree with many of the statements made above, but wanted to add my own thoughts here. Many people that get into online business believe the hype of "getting rich with little to no work." I have seen that line used so many times it is unreal. Truthfully, to start and succeed at your own business takes time, money, and effort. If you own your own business, you will be wearing all of the hats: owner, marketer, coordinator, etc. (unless you have help of some sort). You need a plan and have to be consistent at it. Marketing plans do not work if they are not used. That is another failing that people get in to. If you don't have one, then you need to get one (develop it yourself or outsource it). Just a few thoughts.

If they are purposefully anonymous, it would give me a bit of a pause as well. My first question would be: Why are they hiding? Are they known scammers? Or are they new and don't want to be known as a scammer should it fail? I might consider joining, but only as a free member. I would be very reluctant to upgrade unless they had proved themselves reliable.

I'm curious, is this a free program or is there hidden fees in it? I have seen this promoted and have always wondered about that.

What's Your Worst Experience Buying Affiliate Products?
rpsmith replied to simplygenius's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
That sounds alot like Vick Strizheus way of selling. His trick is to get you to buy into all of these programs which wind up costing a fortune. If it had been me, I would have complained to CB and gotten my money back. Not for sure now, but it seems like that would be a violation of CB's policies. Did you look into that?- 7 replies

If what you say is true, then they had better watch themselves. Tactics like that have a bad habit of coming back to bite them. I have seen this type of behavior before in social media promotions. If I remember correctly, it backfired on the abusers badly.

Hi, I ran across an entry in a thread that stated that Genesis Mining was a reputable company and paying. I was interested, but did not get a response from the member who made the statement. Is there anyone out there that has any info about this company that can share it? Here is the link. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

It seems to me that these outfits that have a longer than two week waiting period for a cashout usually wind up being scams. Anybody got any thoughts on that?

The Difference Between 3 Kinds Of Marketers & True Marketing
rpsmith replied to internetmarketersconnect's topic in Commons
While I don't pretend to be a great marketer, I am open to learning new methods of marketing. I know there is more and better ways of marketing, but don't know which ones to try. Currently, I use safelist and email marketing. My results vary. -
I have had that issue a few times. I either give up for a while and try again later OR keep trying. But you bring up a good point. Many scam operators probably do disable their Re-Captcha to keep the money. One site I owned gave me no end of problems because of Re-Captcha. I also noticed that it could be a google issue too.
-
Pictures are not really a big issue to me. As has been mentioned before in a number of posts, a picture can be faked and many times they are, I tend to look at reputation. I google the opportunity I take an interest in to find out if there are any reviews or scam reports about it. Then I take a close look at their sales pitch. I don't often "jump" into one (opportunity) unless I have slept on it. Given a little time to think about it, I will mostly dismiss any opportunity that feels wrong. As somebody mentioned, they had spent years online and could get a feel for the scams. It's called experience. Sometimes painful, yes. Even if you get into one, if it feels wrong, get out. I did some time ago with an opportunity that kept pushing me to upgrade. Just my thoughts.

What's Your Worst Experience Buying Affiliate Products?
rpsmith replied to simplygenius's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
I am learning to stay away from JVzoo. Don't get me wrong, I think there are some awesome products there if one knows how to use them. What annoys me is getting flooded with all of the "new product" emails I get from them and the people I buy from.- 7 replies
