  1. There could be any one of a number of factors. Your ad, your product, the demographics you are targeting, etc. If you haven't done so, you may want to try split testing your ads to see which one gets the most response. When you determine that, you may wish to tweak it some to improve your responses. Secondly, is your product in demand? Is it a high demand product or no? Finally, the demographics: Here I can only suggest that you expand your targeted demographics. this part can get tricky and expensive, so I would urge a tight budget till you get this worked out. Hope this helps.
  2. I tend to agree. Calling him out will accomplish one of two things: People will get wise to his crap and ignore him and force him to find another way to make money or suddenly turn honest and start paying. Though from what I have read, I'm betting the former not the latter.
  3. I never joined them, but kept seeing their ads. Their prices seemed to be too high. I always thought there was something wrong with their business model, but didn't really do too much due diligence on it. Isn't this the same company that used people's contact list to build their list of leads?
  4. Yet another site abandoned by the owners. This is becoming a problem. Why can't people just sell them or do their members right and shut down the site the right way?
  5. Unfortunately, there seems to be alot of people that find it easier to simply abandon sites rather than sell them or go through the process the affiliate claims and then shut it down properly. I have seen a number of site like this. It is becoming a real problem.
  6. Why should anybody want to buy from him when he is proving to be so unreliable at paying his affiliates?
  7. Very interesting read and unique point of view.
  8. I have had dealings with scams like this in the past. In a couple, I made payout repeatedly and never got paid. Now I don't pay them any attention.
  9. I'm confused here. Does Matthew Graves own adtroopers too? Can someone recommend a responsive mailing list?
  10. I have never believed that TE's were dead. I have only questioned their effectiveness. As someone else pointed out, their effectiveness has diminished. By how much, I can't really say. I think that part of it may relate to the idea that the market is glutted with the same script, methodology, and such. It is so bad that it has had an negativeeffect on the market. There has not been many who got creative and tried to make their sites stand out. Those that have will survive, those that do not will fail. The recent paypal and payza issues have not helped much and have been directly responsible for the demise of a number of TE's. I have learned to try to branch out into other areas for my traffic generation. Stuff like social media, safelists, and other means are far more effective and less time consuming. The idea here is not to put "all of my eggs in one basket."
  11. Hi, I don't know about you, but lately I have been having alot of trouble solving the recaptcha puzzles that many sites feature as security for their log in. In the recent weeks, I have been having so much trouble with it, that I had been unable to log in to a number of my accounts or use certain features in those accounts due to the issues of being unable to solve the puzzles to satisfy the security protocols. In my research to find out just how bad it was, I landed on a possible solution: Log out of all things Google. (youtube, gmail, etc.) Clear my browser cache Guess what? It worked. After logging out of gmail and youtube, the issues stopped (at least for now). I can't guarantee this will work for all of you, but before you lose your cool, try the above. If this little tidbit helps anybody, please leave a comment. I would like to know. To Your Success, Ryan
  12. I don't think anybody realizes just how important your online reputation is. It is so hard to build up a good rep and so easy to destroy it. Once destroyed, it is nearly impossible to recover. Once people get the idea you are a scammer or cheat, it can follow you in every endeavor you try.
  13. It seems to me that "profit sharing" is becoming a sales pitch that has started showing up more and more lately. I would do my due diligance on anything that has it.
  14. I would also like to add something here. Buying traffic can be something of a crap shoot. By that I mean that you can wind up buying traffic that makes you no money and is a waste of your money. Another point is this: If you are using Adsense to monetize your site, buying traffic can get you banned from Adsense. So where does that leave you? You can buy Facebook ads (another crap shoot in itself) or other social media sites. I seem to remember reading another thread that mentions some sites you can use that will help you get started.
  15. My question would be: Where do I go to advertise in an ezine without losing my shirt in the process. Depending on the ezine, that can get pretty expensive.
  16. I think blogs can be very useful to an ecommerce site. You can relate news, special events, or updates on your product or service. It seems to keep the interest alive and can even generate new customers.
  17. My biggest issue with trying to keep any blog up and running is being creative enough to keep it up. Ask any blogger or writer, they can tell you it is not easy to keep good, fresh content each week. I have noted that some bloggers have switched to vlogs to generate their content. I am left wondering if they still have the same problems.
  18. AS always, i strongly recommend checking out each potential candidate before hiring them. Then make sure they understand what you want and read the work afterwards. I have run into people who will try to slip in some piece of garbage article that is nothing more than a collection of nonsensical sentences that make no sense whatsoever.
  19. Adsense is a great way to make money as long as you play by their rules. I have found that those rules can be hard to understand, like traffic generation. They don't seem to have alot of suggestions other than "quality content". I have found a few items in their forums on what not to do (like buy traffic for instance), but not too much on the "what I can do" department. If anybody can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.
  20. I can see your point in this. Sometimes it does seem that way. It can be frustrating. A few things to consider: Is your product or service marketable to other marketers? Is it in demand? Are you consistent with your ads? Are you persistent? Do you concentrate on one ads network or do you spread it around? One thing I have learned, is that you need to spread your promotions around and into other venues. You may wish to expand into social media, if you haven't already.
  21. I have heard the same thing. It is run similar to another scam that has been around for some time.
  22. Can you send me the urls for this?
  23. Can anyone suggest where to go to create splash pages?
  24. I have found the idea of succeeding to be an attractive one. But how? There are so many ways to get traffic, but which one to use? Which one is the most effective? How do you go about it? What steps to take? There are lots of nuts and bolts to this that few have ever really tried to explain. Even the "gurus" leave out details.
