I would suggest against funneling all of your moneys through one particular payment processor. Given how finicky they can be. You may wish to consider two or more (using the others as a back up). There have been a few cases, where I used Paypal and my payments were slowed down or frozen for a while. There was no reason given for either event.

As an alternative, you may wish to try google pay. I don't know what their reputation is, but thought I would mention it. I have noted a few sites that have been changing to them.

Just out of curiosity, where do you get your videos? I have considered video marketing in the past, but have not been able to create them. Care to share your secrets?

Rocket Responder just RIPPED ME OFF
rpsmith replied to decksharp1's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
If you have the email that stated your account was closed you can present it to the bank/credit card company and try to get your money back. Failing that, you can make a fraud complaint against them and get your money back that way. It may seem like an extreme thing to do, but if they are trying to charge you for services they claim is cancelled it would certainly fit the bill. -
What are the Best Traffic Exchanges with Fast Timers?
rpsmith replied to Paula Frye's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
I disagree with the use of fast timers.Yes, you can get lots of credits for using them, but is it really worth it? Do people even see your site? I have used a few TE's like this and am left wondering about their effectiveness. -
New Marketing and List Building Tools
rpsmith replied to pkline's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
If I follow this conversation correctly, I don't think it is a wise thing to do to allow others to send to your mailing list. The list will become less and less responsive as people (as a general rule) do not enjoy being bombarded with sales messages. Speaking from personal experience, I don't. I start dropping out or ignoring them after a while if that is all I see from any particular list. When I join any list, it is because I think they may be able to offer something of value as an online marketer. If all I see is sales messages, Then I drop out.- 4 replies

List of solo ad providers
rpsmith replied to randomcash's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I have heard pros and cons to purchased solo ads. I am even a member of udimi. My question is; Is it really worth the money spent? It seems a little pricey.- 13 replies

Jane Mark's Profitfromfreeads.com?
rpsmith replied to PassTheTorch's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
Since Leased Ads Space has already been mentioned, what was the results of the investigation some time ago? It seems to me that it was under investigation for fraud or something some time ago. Anybody know? -
Lately, I seem to be running run across somebody claiming they "cracked the code" to making big money in some form or fashion, but most of it seems like rehashed materials. True, some of them have interesting ideas on how to get traffic. But largely it seems to be recycled material. Anybody else?

Work from home jobs that are Scams
rpsmith replied to mistracy39's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
I always recommend doing your best to investigate any work at home opportunity you run across. There are still a number of scam watch sites out there that explain the most common ones and how they work. Some even mention particular sites by name. Another source is the BBB. You can also look on Youtube. I would be very leary of "shipping manager" or "logistics manager" type jobs. As stated by some in the above messages they turn out to be scams and you, quite possibly, could find yourself in real trouble. It pays to go to the sites (scam watch sites) I mention to get aquainted with the lures these scammers use. As a side note, there are a number of these scammers that will try to lure you into revealing your bank info by explaining they will send it to you via direct deposit. don't fall for it. If you do, you may find your bank accounts emptied before you know what happened. I haven't heard of any incidents lately, but it is good to keep this in mind. -
If I may, people like this have no idea (or maybe they don't care) that they can destroy their reputation and never get it back. If you look around this forum, you may run into other site owners being mentioned for much the same reason. These site owners do not seem to realize that they are cutting their own throats. Even if they hide their identities, they will still be found out. "The North Remembers"

Sometimes using a safelist is like a crap shoot, you just never really know/ A couple of tips: 1)You can look on this site for recommendations and try them for yourself. 2) Always remember to track your ads to monitor your results. 3)Be flexible. As sad as it is to say this: there are some safelists that lose their value as members activity declines. Be ready to cut your losses if that happens. 4) Be consistent with your ads. (I.E. don't expect a mountain of sales at the outset). To your success.

What you say is not entirely true. Some hosting companies offer a "general ssl" certificate that covers all the sites they host. The hosting company I use, for example, does this for all of my sites at no extra charge. This certification satisfies the google requirement. The set up and initialization part, took no time at all and was done by the host. If there were any changes to the site itself, they were minor.

Facebook Group Auto Posting Software Free Download
rpsmith replied to frankjones's topic in Social Media
I tend to think the Facebook is doing this to eliminate any potential threat to their sales. that was an issue brought up in a similar thread. -
Google is really starting to push this now. Some browsers put up a warning that says "site not secure". Most of the time, as far as I can tell, it is the presence or absence of a green lock in the url display. If I remember this correctly, google's last update added a penalty on non secure sites.
-
Is it me, or does anybody else see a disturbing pattern here? He is only responding when threatened? I would have to start looking at it in this respect: Would I really want to do business with, or represent someone who only pays/refunds/responds when threatened?

Some writers use what I call the coffee table approach in their writing. The approach I refer to is that of writing to the middle of the aisle. I.E. not too technical, but not too simple. Another key is that the information provided is useful and not too full of facts. One point is that writers sometimes add to an article is a personal experience or two. Sometimes it can be really funny or an AHH-HA moment.

What are the Best Traffic Exchanges with Fast Timers?
rpsmith replied to Paula Frye's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
Hi, I would like to point out something that you may not know. The timer is part of your browser. Most timers don't start till the site loads. My observation mind you. -
I didn't realize it was this prolific. I had heard stories in the past about his not paying his affiliates. I didn't really pay much attention to them then.

How is this guy still in business? Is he like a few other well known scammers who just manage to stay ahead of getting shut down?

[STAY AWAY] Betasender TEST. (new autoresponder)
rpsmith replied to John Vianny's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
I wanted to mention something that has happened in the past. There have been start up autoresponder sites that got blacklisted by Google and other search engines. The majority of these have failed. Can anyone give me a reason for this? -
Given the number of times Google changes their keywords algorithms and all of their algorithms, I wonder if it is worth the time and effort people put into SEO. I am aware that companies spend alot of money dealing with the intricacies of Google's changes. I have heard of sites that ranked high in one change and fell in ranking during the next change. The most common denominators I have noted in the recent changes, are these: It needs to contain video and be mobile friendly. My final point is that there are other ways to promote.
-
I can't understand how this guy is still in business. I have tried a number of his "advertising opportunities" and have had very little,if any, real results. The free memberships were a joke. You really had to spend lots of time clicking ads, etc. to get anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I am used to such as I am a free member of several ads networks. He literally forces you to upgrade to just get anywhere. But his was distinctively worse in every respect. I dropped all of his sites and never went back. I view him as a scammer. As far as I can remember, he never answered any of my support requests.
-
I dislike the trial membership site for only one reason, eventually they try to force you to upgrade to continue using their services. I have seen enough of these sites that offer a trial membership, but it is not really long enough to determine whether it would be worth the money. On the other hand, free sites that offer a upgrade have to likewise prove it would be worth the money. My main issue with the latter is that some sites that have free memberships make it so that you are forced to upgrade to get anywhere. There are some relaunched sites that started out as I have described. I tried them and ditched them, never to go back.
