  1. I tend to agree with Tommy. However, you need to learn to track your ads to determine which forms of advertising is getting the best results. Otherwise you could be wasting time and money in your efforts.
  2. Hello all, I wanted to update this thread and give an additional warning about this particular scam. A couple of days ago, I ran into an updated version of this scam. It went through the warning part, but then indicated that it would "lock down" my computer to "prevent further damage." I tried the ESC key and even tried to close the windows all to no avail. Given the issue of people having their computer files encrypted and destroyed by this form of Internet trash, I went to my last resort and emergency shut down my computer. On restart, I noted no issues outside of the standard boot up sequence. My scanner ran yesterday and gave no indication of any problems. For all of this, i would like to offer a few tips: 1) Make backups of your important files and keep them seperate from your computer hard drive. 2) Keep your anti virus/anti malware, and firewalls updated. 3) If you run into this, take no chances. If you have to do the same thing I did, hit the power button fast. To your success, Ryan
  3. I currently surf only three. I still think there are better ways to generate more traffic. By "better" I mean more efficient and less time consuming.
  4. Some time ago, there was a certain wisdom to the idea of removing inactive members to keep the list fresh and the membership active. As stated before by others, they chose not to remove them because they might come back in the future. If I may, I would like to add a third possibility. If you keep the inactive members, you may be able to stir their interest in returning by offering contests for clicks, etc. You could also reward activity with cash and prizes. Does it work? I think it does. It sometimes helps to do things like this to keep your list members active. Just a thought.
  5. If I may, it is not a scam. As for the confirmation look in your spam or trash folder. It can be a good source of traffic building services and info. However, they will want you to upgrade to silver membership and promote them. You will get daily emails from them trying to get you to upgrade. Is the upgrade worth it? I don't really know. I tried it some time ago, but dropped out because I could not afford the subscription payments.
  6. What is this thieving scum's name?
  7. Investing in bitcoin is similar to any other investment. You may lose it. Don't invest if you can't afford to lose it.
  8. You should be able to. In some cases, you may have to convert if you are using altcoins.
  9. I would avoid this kind of site. They are scams. They may pay at first just to give the air of legitimacy, but will fold sooner or later. They may suck you in by saying your claims will be processed faster if you upgrade. Take my word for it, it is a scam. I have seen many like this online.
  10. Another one to avoid is btcclicks.com
  11. May I ask, what sofwares you are using?
  12. Has anybody noticed is it offline and the domain was parked?
  13. I tend to believe it is a combination of factors. What you are promoting, the market, your persistence, and of course, the activity of the safelist itself. Where Herculist has been concerned, my results have varied. Sometimes good and other times not so good. I have learned that all of the factors I mentioned play a direct role in it. Of course, the activeness of the safelist members has alot to do with it. That is why I don't stick to one or a few safelists. I try to spread my ads around in other areas.
  14. I only use chrome for mining and that not too often now. It seems that, like Google, it wants to spy on everything I do. Getting really tired of this intrusive spyware.
  15. When creating new tabs, there is an annoying delay that sometimes borders on stalling out completely. This didn't appear till a couple of months ago.
  16. Hi, I don't know if you have ever heard of typehash.com or not. It is/was a browser mining site that allowed 24 hour mining using upgrades. The reason I post this is because the site has gone down and the domain is now parked. I would have to call it a scam. This has made me very skeptical of any mining site I run across.
  17. I prefer Firefox, though to be honest, their latest updates are beginning to annoy me. Until the latest updates, it has had the best response time of any.
  18. It's possible. What you are describing almost sounds like a browser hijacker, though I have never heard of it being hidden in a site. I have experienced one from an email. But, I was always of the impression that those were screened out by most security programs and firewalls. It is possible the site may be hacked. There is a telltale sign when your computer downloads programs and install them. Of course, there may be other legit reasons like hosting issues or browser verification issues. But none of this excuses the admin treatment of you and potentially others. As I mentioned a couple of times, I would just dump them and move on. I have dumped a few sites myself recently. If I may, you are only hurting yourself in the end by continuing to brood on this. As I also mentioned, he will destroy his own reputation in the end. Once destroyed, it will be nearly impossible to regain it. The Internet remembers. (Almost sounds like GAME OF THRONES "The North Remembers.") He is only hurting himself in the end.
  19. I think this is a common enough mistake. I have seen it often enough. This, to me anyway, is minor compared to other "mistakes".
  20. One thing I have noticed with a few TE's is that they are offering a few credits to click on banners. Not all the time mind you, there is usually a small message that announces which ones are offered credits. I don't really know the value of this, but it can generate some interest in your site/product. On the other hand, if it was not there, nothing would be gained.
  21. If I may add to this discussion a bit, If the site owner does not pay and bans you, then it fair to say it in those terms. To say that he is not paying in a general sense may be pushing the legality envelope a bit (IMHO). As I mentioned before, if he does not pay you, then dump him and move on. If his behavior becomes a general problem, it will kill his reputation and business faster than he might think possible. I agree with his remarks about him making the rules, BUT I also know that if he destroys his own reputation with his "rules," it will be next to impossible to get it back (his reputation) in anything like it may or may not be at present. as a general rule, it is easy to destroy one's rep, but extremely difficult to regain it.
  22. Drop them and move on. Word will get around quickly enough and he will be out of business. That's the nature of the Internet. His reputation will be his downfall.
  23. I bought a site script with a guaranteed refund. It was installed 3 times and crashed all three times. Always after I completed the customization work. In this case, it was a classified ads script. I added some categories. No big deal right? The vendor assured me that it would work with no problems. Again three times, 3 different servers, two were his own servers where he swore it would not crash. When I tried to get a refund, he refused me. When I opened a dispute, Paypal sided with him.
  24. I think that, in order to determine which "free traffic sources" work the best, you need to track them to determine from which you are getting the most traffic (and conversions). You also need to be flexible in deciding which ones to drop should they prove to be failing. From what I have seen, it seems that many, if not all, will fail eventually hence the need to track them.
  25. As a former TE owner I can say that it can be difficult to get a traffic exchange to really work out. Some owners have gone into it thinking they will get rich or make a decent living off of them. For most, they are lucky to break even. When I started, I was warned that most of my members would never upgrade and activity on the site was something you had to really work at by offering surfing contests and the like. There are exceptions of course, and some do really well. But, in my experience they are few compared to the many that are out there.
