It may be old news to some and too scary for others, but the truth is that making your own capture pages or splash pages from a free template is not that hard. Knowing a little HTML5 (you do want them responsive to mobile, don't you?) and CSS is helpful, but certainly not mandatory. You can take a template that is close to what you want and change the images and text with a free editor like Notepad++ (Windows), then open the same code in your browser to see the effect. Make more changes and refresh the browser until it's what you want. Then use File Manager to upload it to your web hosting account. If you are going to continue making money online, these are simple tools you need in your toolbox sooner, rather than later. Take control and don't let yourself be exploited. From past experience I know most of you are too skeptical to try this, or even let someone help you. For those who recognize a true offer to help, if you have Skype set up (or are willing to get it) I will give you a hands on training session for FREE through screen sharing and answer your questions until you get it right.

I don't know where you got the idea I was blaming the owner, he has done a great job putting this site together and getting people to look at it and I have been busy ever since I joined, but lately when I come back there is nothing new. Activity doesn't come from one person, we need more interaction like this/

I can't understand why this site seems to have gone into a coma lately. The concept is fantastic, the execution is superb and the topic is right on target. The only thing I have noticed is the referral system sucks, but who cares? What is stopping YOU from using it more on a daily basis (or at least weekly)?

Absolutely, use the whole page if you like.

You make a very good point Martin, but after thinking this over I decided to use a splash page of my own at http://Just2.us I love the page they gave us with everything explained so well in a very professional manner, but I fear it's a lot like giving a baby a drink from a firehose for most people. If we can just get the pump primed a little first, it's pretty hard for anyone to deny that Smartphones are here to stay and slowly (well maybe not so slowly) will be pushing the web into the background. Best of luck to you buddy, I got my first one already.

For traffic exchanges, I use email marketing as an attention grabber to get one email in their hands, since I know future email campaigns (to the same list) will have much lower response. If I can structure that message to keep them reading and plant a seed so they see me as a trusted advisor (instead of a pushy pitch man), the next time they see a new squeeze page of mine they will get curious. You actually can build a following on a traffic exchange if you work at it, which is why I only use one to concentrate my effort. Then I have one simple link to my own website at the bottom. Not massive traffic, but much higher quality. Don't kid yourself, there are plenty of prime prospects on traffic exchanges that need help and are willing to pay for it.

I have always heard to get in front of a TREND and the hottest trend today is Smartphone Apps. So when I saw Michael Glaspie was behind a way to use SMS like an opt-in AutoResponder in a 2X14 MLM I was IN. But the best part, was I liked what I saw enough I just wanted to USE it! If I can help people get 2, it will be interesting. http://just2.icanget2.com Sure looks like a winner to me and $14.95 for something I will use, is not a big risk.

Don't worry, the spammers will still find a way to get to it.

What I really like is the new colored labels Gmail has. It makes filters much better in my opinion.
-
What you say is basically true, but as you invest more time and money you create knowledge. If you apply the best knowledge you have, you can invest less time and money. So the obvious answer to me is to pay attention and learn all you can.

To begin with, if you Google 'text ad exchange' there are over 7 million listings. Why would someone pick yours to join if they did manage to see it? You need to stand out from the crowd and to be honest, yours doesn't.

How Do You Use Traffic Exchanges To Generate Traffic?

Even my lowest paying PTC (Clixsense) earns me 50 cents for 100 pages. -
How Do You Use Traffic Exchanges To Generate Traffic?
oldbuddy replied to captkirk's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
I work to build up referrals in the one I use, but not so I earn more credits. I am more interested in the commissions I earn when they upgrade. -
I use a Traffic Exchange, but I don't use credits. My exchange is Traffic Swirl and I sell all my credits for Tokens, which I use to buy Token Ads or bribe other members to complete Tasks I want done (like joining my programs). When I run ads, I focus on stuff I know they need to solve problems and use simple 2-step opt-in pages for much better results.

That's why the prime example I like to use (that shocks some people) is Gmail. It is a cloud application, because you don't store anything on your own computer, so you can access it from anywhere that has Internet access anytime of the day or night and you don't need to worry about the administration at all.
-
I have been promoting the same websites since 2007 and only added one more a year ago because it fit right in my plan. Now I work much less and make a lot more.
-
They really don't Let me give an example you will probably understand better. I used to think the best email solution was to have my own server and domain name with email service set up for just me, but now I use Gmail (cloud based) and I would never go back. All the headaches are taken care of for me and if I want to find an email from a couple of years ago, it's a 2 minute job. If I want to set up a filter to keep a spammer away, it's a 30 second job. If I want to organize tags and have the server automatically apply them, another 30 second job. Get the idea?

The Truth Might Pzz You Off!
oldbuddy replied to Thomas H. Keoppel's topic in Affiliate/MLM/Network Marketing
Maybe the PERIOD, should be a COMMA. I would much rather have 10 genuine interested contacts than 1,000 opportunity seeker leads any day. -
Jason the first thing I would work on is getting it off Weebly. Why advertise for them more than yourself? You can get templates for the new one page website style for free and have your own hosting you control with no advertising for as little as $1 a month, that would run this size site without any strain.

My experience has been, that making a sale of any magnitude puts you in a much better position to turn that into a referral for something else. -

If I had a rock solid guarantee of a sale at 1 million emails, that would be better than nothing. -

You still should take some effort to make sure the eyeballs you are getting in front of are going to at least be somewhat interested in what you offer. Sending 100,000 emails to third world dreamers who will do anything for 1/10 of a penny is not going to help.
