Warning "Two Dollar Click" Warning
oldbuddy replied to Garrett Hutsko's topic in Scams, Rip-offs, and More
You don't need an independent organization to tell you that a website that charges 1/2 cent to send your ad to their members that get $2 to read it, is not legitimate. -
Let's be honest, make sure you disclose that you invested $550 to get to the point you could earn $190.75 and at the present time Traffic Monsoon is not honoring any withdrawals. They are working hard to change that, but no guarantees.

If you want to believe what you see, I won't argue with you. It's your choice. I am more interested in working with individuals one-on-one and that takes making contact on common ground. If I work a month and only find one new serious prospect, I am fine with that. It just means I have more time to spend with them.

What are the Best Traffic Exchanges with Fast Timers?
oldbuddy replied to Paula Frye's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
I am only upgraded in two traffic exchanges, John Bells Traffic Swirl and Ad Master Plus, where I have lifetime upgrades that have more than paid me back in commissions alone. But most of my surfing is in Traffic Swirl where most of my success comes from the chat. In my opinion, that is concentrated targeting on qualified prospects actually LOOKING for help. Sure there is a lot of chit-chat that gets in the way, but when you have a chance to really help someone with a pressing problem they are having RIGHT NOW you will blow the doors off someone who is surfing to get credits to show a page most people ignore anyway. In fact I don't use my credits myself, I sell them for Tokens so I can get real concentrated views that I can incentivize in creative ways to bring in people I can work with. -
In my opinion, the common pitch you described is not going to work very well (if at all) no matter how it is presented. But if you prepare a short video with a collar grabbing statement at the beginning and real valuable content to expand on the original interest instead of throwing a wet blanket over it, you stand a good chance of establishing contact on an intelligent level that you can cultivate. At least you will get their attention, then the rest is up to you. As a side note, I can't begin to count the gold nuggets I have dug out of that 95% crap you denounced. One good nugget can justify an hour of my time (while I do something else), any day of the week.

Just posting a link is not going to do you any good. What you need to do is post valuable information others can use, then put your link in your signature line.

Traffic Exchanges? Useful or Waste of Time?
oldbuddy replied to Kurt Tasche's topic in PTC & Traffic Exchanges
Like anything else online, if you concentrate on one good source and learn all you can about it, so you can share what you learn with others who are wandering, THEY STILL WORK. If you follow what the traffic exchange owners tell you and surf several at a time, you don't begin to see what is there for you. I only use ONE exchange daily and never spend my credits to have my page shown, but I still get referrals for all kinds of projects. The biggest problem is too many people are in such a rush, they never pause to smell the MONEY!- 96 replies

Keep in mind, you are using entry level advertising when you try traffic exchanges or safelists. Not only are response rates lower, but it's very easy to think all you need to do is place your ad and wait for the money. It's like any other advertising, you need experience and possibly a mentor to learn what works and what doesn't, then it still takes more time to test and evaluate your campaigns to reach the point where you have a feeling what will work before you even launch it. Think like your readers and address their needs, not yours. You need to be rewarded for your effort, but until they see enough value to take action that's putting the cart before the horse.

High Conversions with Safelists!
oldbuddy replied to Norman Plouffe's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
My experience is the same as the two above. I do think an attractive Splash Page (no squeeze) does seem to add a little authority to the giveaway, instead of a cover and link alone. You can also add a few bullets to generate curiosity and sell them on the download. -

The Internet is flooded with courses to teach you how to create your own product, but most of what I see has big price tags and lots of hype. I wanted to come up with some training to get people over the Myth that it's some kind of secret society that they should be afraid of and get them to at least try it. So I used Libre Office to write up a PDF report and started selling it for only $1 (an impulse price) and now just a few weeks later I have an extra $15 in my PayPal. Nothing to write home about, but it beats what a lot of people make for clicking on ads. If nothing else, it is giving me more confidence and experience. It also gives me something to talk about with other like-minded Internet surfers looking for a way to get off the ground floor, or even looking for ways they can help other people do it. Last week I came up with an idea to sweeten the pot and offer anyone who seriously wants to get started this way, the option to get a nice looking 3D Cover for their project for free. A picture is worth a thousand words, so Look Here What do you think of this idea?

Another tip for improving open rates is to offer some reason they can email you back. At least on Gmail, that adds you to their contact list and the odds go way up that they will see your next email. Then if you can get them to filter your message into the Never Send to Spam category, they will get them for sure. Maybe they won't respond, but at least they will have a chance to.

Show us an example and let's compare notes. Personally I think posting in a community like this is too time consuming for a lot of people, but there are others who thrive on it. I love making videos and appreciate the amount of information they can convey in a couple of minutes. I do a lot of reading online and the general consensus is video is in.

Most Twitter pundits advocate limiting Tweets to even less than the 160 characters allowed, so they are more likely to get retweeted (it leaves space for editing), but I think I discovered a better way. If you create a video to upload to YouTube and make sure you get a thumbnail that spells out your message, then link to that from your Twitter feed with the thumbnail displayed in your Tweet, you can get a much more intense message across to your viewers. For an example see: https://twitter.com/startacheapblog/status/678630968626774016

I have been using IBO for many years and still use it today. It is a free resource and as such, it will naturally be filled with people who don't have a clue how to use it. Heck, you can find the same thing right here, but I am not going to say it's the websites fault. If you think of both as a place to find people to help, instead of a place to pitch your wares, it may surprise you what a difference it makes.

After talking with a lot of people online in communities like this, that are aware of the benefits from running a blog, but reluctant to make the jump for fear of lacking the experience, skills and drive to keep it going, I found a simple solution. One of my associates was in that position, so I helped him set up a VLOG where he didn't need to write more than a quick description, then copy and paste an embed code from YouTube. In fact he can just find the content he wants and email me a link, because I am happy to do it for him in about two minutes. He can still inject a money making link once in a while (since it's self-hosted WordPress), but the meat and potatoes is provided free (still perfectly legitimate) by Curating Videos on any suitable topic. Sure people can just visit YouTube and see them, but that requires a lot of time and the thick-skin it takes to wade through all the junk and off-color humor some people find offensive. You can see how simple the concept is, by visiting his Vlog, just Click Here If this might interest you, help is available for free.

I never said it was safe if you read the rest of my comment. However, your comparison with the Pentagon is a little far fetched, since hackers have far more to gain by hacking them than getting my information from a Cloud server. As much as hacking events are publicized, I still think they are insignificant to my personal safety. At least I am not going to live my life in fear because the potential is ever present.

Thanks for your response, but it's a little out of my range. I did need to learn a few simple skills, but I do the same thing for $10 a month now and people don't quit to avoid the monthly payment. I wish you continued success.

Sorry to hear of anyone who has been through the devistation of a fire robbing them of prized possessions that can not be replaced, but you will back soon with what you learned previously and more. I did take the liberty of editiing the quote here and you may want to go back and apply it to your original post. -
I am quite sure there is no guarantee that anything connected in any way to the Internet can't be hacked, but at least you would have experts applying skills and resources to protect you. I do feel it's yet another 'buzz word' that is being used as leverage to give unsuspecting souls a false sense of security, to lure them into paying more for the same old resources that have always been available. Fortunately for us, it is more lucrative to use these tactics on larger entities with deeper pockets, than it is small time players like us.
