I just recently attended a webinar on this topic. This is the most important information we can learn about what to say to people and what to write. The biggest mistake we make is going on and on about the company, products and compensation plan, but what people really want to know is "What's In It For Me". This would also mean, if we are talking to people on the phone or in an online chat, we should get to know what they are looking for and then tell them how our program/product would help them - benefits. The webinar also went into "feelings" - how they will feel when they use our product or service, or how they will feel when they are making so much money and are able to buy the things they want and need.
