I agree with what Darren said. Also, just because someone pays a low amount to join, doesn't mean they are a better 'lead' for all of us who want to advertise. With most paid-only sites that I've joined, I saw that they are either dead pretty soon or really inactive because they struggle to bring in (enough) new members every day. With any safelist, members get inactive and if you're not replacing them with new people, activity goes down and in the end you're just advertising to the same small group of people. The owners struggle to make them grow, the existing members start to notice it and before you know it even those who paid aren't using the same as often anymore.

Better post some proof to back up claims.

Aside from the follow-up emails I regularly send broadcasts to my lists, for some subscribers they will arrive on the same day. Subscribers usually don't mind if you're sending something that interests them.

It's often a false warning, have to look at the email and the sender and see what the site is about and use good judgement. Credit mails often get marked as spam and 'not safe' even if they are fine.

I prefer a healthier snack One has to be careful when deciding what to promote. Some things aren't in our hands, it's the site owner who has their reputation to keep, but same for us who promote sites to our list or the members of our own sites .They trust us and some are lifetime customers who follow us in many programs, so better only promote something you have no doubts about. Even then sometimes accidents happen, out of our control, but that's a good lesson for the next time and if you're open about your own disappointments,people will understand also.

Hi Phyllis, It's the percentage of unique visitors. If I get for example 500 visitors to my site in a month, maybe it's only 100 or 200 unique (unique IP address) . You'll get the same people seeing your site multiple times if you email them regularly (and if they are active members at that safelist, reading emails often). It's not necessarily a bad thing since often people only take action after seeing your ad a few times. But it's good to have at least enough different people seeing your site, and not always the same small group. You'll find many lists of safelists online. Some are based on tracking,others are more based on personal preference or other factors. Here are my safelist statistics for august 2015 when it comes to getting real sign-ups to my site Fast List Mailer. You can click through to previous months and you' ll see that very often the same sites keep returning so that might be a good starting point to maybe discover new sites. Results will be different for you since you probably will promote a different site, probably a capture page with a different message and purpose and different emails. But over the past years I've promoted different sorts of pages and sites and many of these safelists gave me good results as well, so they work well for promoting different sites and opportunities. It's best to do your own tracking for your specific advertising.If if you're promoting capture pages to collect leads, you can track opt-ins/form sumbissions that might give you much better information than only looking at the amount of clicks (visits) you get or the click through ratio of emails sent with safelists. In my case, I own two safelists Fast List Mailer (18 months old now) and List Unlocked (new since 10 September) and my main goal with my promotions is getting people to sign-up so they can enter my funnel. I also do some other promotions, promoting a capture page to build a separate list, and I'm getting similar results with those safelists.

It's good to send a message and attach credits if you can , to get them started and to say hi. I regularly send updates about sites I recommended to my lists so that they know I'm still there, still using the sites and what results I'm getting. Nothing more annoying than getting emails from people only when they want you to sign-up for something new, and no more updates after that .

As long as "Christmas deals" don't appear in September, it's fine to have a Christmas feeling all year long

Definitely a good idea to do that, otherwise it's hard to keep focused.
