  1. I have been doing this business for 20+ years. I think I am at the point of getting out this niche (make money online). There are simply more scams than honest programs. Most programs do not pass basic Economics 101. They are nothing more than selling a MMO so you can in turn sell the MMO to someone else. It really comes down to most products/services have no value, just the promise of making money. Sure, there are people who have made lots of money. But what they have done cannot not be duplicated by the average person coming off the street. Especially, over night. My two cents.
  2. I use the headliner analyzer at CoSchedule.com. Putting the word "bribe" into a headline shows strong negative sentiment. Replacing bribe with bonus reflects neutral sentiment. So words do matter.
  3. I had the same issue with Tiger Solo Ads Plus. I had the top upgrade with a lot of credits. When the site was reorganized, I was downgraded to a lesser upgrade and most of my credits were deleted. The response was that I did not need so many credits. Great customer service. NOT!
  4. That reminds of a pet peeve of mine. Websites that do not have the owner's/admin point of contact or support information on the home page. It does not help a member if they cannot login and the password reset function does not work. If a member can't login, then he cannot contact support if the support function requires a member to login.
  5. I bought into several of her early programs such as Croc Ads. Considering the cost, the results have not been good. I have noticed that she has been promoting more and more on other people's safelists and mailers. I guess that she is not getting the returns from her own lists that she wants.Just speculating.
  6. I prefer to mail at sites like Diane's that require all members to read some mails. At least I know my emails have a better chance at being read. Glen
  7. I look at the business model among other things when evaluating programs. If the program is offering guaranteed returns, then that is a warning flag. On the other hand, if payouts are not guaranteed and being generated from profits, then it is likely to be legit. Some companies require payment of an affiliate license, fee, etc in order to earn commissions. Generally, the fee is usually monthly, but some require an upfront fee. Some or all of the fee is paid to the recruiting sponsor. While this method does not fall into the Ponzi scheme realm of things, I find this kind of scammy. More emphasis is placed on promoting the bizop than on actually selling useful products or services.
  8. The fitness industry has failed 98% of the population for way too long! Getting in shape is a lot easier than you might think.. Help us through word of mouth completely eliminate obesity, diabetes and other related diseases through proper fitness education! You don't have to run 1 hour or even 20 minutes a day.. Just 7 minutes a day 3 times per week and you will be amazed and very pleased by the results! http://www.nowlifestyle.com/?id=platinumhealth
  9. Dallin Larsen, of Noni Juice fame, is back with a new business called Vasayo. The hype has started. Just wondering if the product is any good. I am not involved in any way with this. Nor do I desire to be. Just curious.
  10. All the more reason why I don't join any program where they do not list or show who the owners are. I am not going to support any owner who hides behind a mask of anonymity.
  11. I have been using Viral Inbox for quite awhile now. But lately, the amount of incoming spam has been horrific. 200+ spam emails yesterday. It is getting to the point that Viral Inbox is becoming unusable. Am I the only VIB user having spam problems?
  12. Even though VLB+ has been around for awhile, I continue to get great open rates. This is one of John Bell's websites. My other favorite one is AdMasterPlus. http://glenpalo.com/images/VLBP.jpg
  13. That's exactly my experience. Having a non-responsive list is like having no list at all.
  14. Thanks for sharing, Clare. This example shows how difficult it is to start a TE or safelist for that matter. A new business venture needs to have sufficient capital. The business owner should also have a list of subscribers numbered in the 1000's.
  15. With rare exceptions, I stopped buying lifetime upgrades. I will take 3 or 6-months upgrades on occasion. Too many safelists are going out of business or being sold to other list owners who in turn are cannibalizing their existing lists. It is pointless to send 5,000 emails to get 1 click-thru. Consequently, I am reducing the number of lists to which I belong, which is currently 200+.
  16. It is getting to the point where it does not pay to take the upgrades in new safelists or mailers. Member numbers just don't grow very faster to justify the prices charged for upgrades. Seems like more and more are shutting down or being sold and dying slow deaths. CTR rates are dropping faster and faster.
  17. I use Viral Mail Profits and Referral Frenzy. RF speeds the process up and lets you send to 110+ safelists. I use VMP for the other 100+ mailers I use.
  18. To earn and get paid at THW Global, you have to fill out their demographic survey that asks for lots of personal info. It is clear from their terms of service that they have the option to sell your information to others e.g. data brokers. Looking at their posted live statistics, less than half of the people signing up are completing the required survey.
  19. One thing safelist and TE owners can do to help themselves out is to respond to support requests. If they are having problems paying, then let members know. This will eliminate rumors.I use mailers for advertising, not making money. So getting paid a few bucks quickly is not an issue for me. Being non-responsive is an issue.
  20. I just started using MailerLite. It is free up to 1,000 subscribers. My favorite features are the landing pages (templates or design your own) and the resend (when subscribers do not open any mail). The pricing starts with the 1,001st subscriber and is very reasonable.
  21. In retrospect, the advertising is priced too high considering the quality. People are just clicking ads to meet their quota. I understand now that MAP is no longer available to U.S. customers.
  22. Anyone care to compare trck.me and smart-url? I use trck.me but am not sure about smart-url.
  23. I use TEs as one way to get referrals and build downlines. It's slow but it works. TEs are also a good way to see what's new and drawing interest.
  24. I am a member of IBO Toolbox. I just don't visit often enough.
  25. One or two hours a day unless I am skyping or talking with someone. 10 hours on a weekend. I spend the weekend hours doing creative stuff like drafting marketing emails. Week day time is spent sending emails, reading emails and surfing.
