What Would You Do If You Lost Your PayPal Account?
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K replied to captkirk's topic in Commons
You should not love paypal and should not be putting loyalty on them like that, trust me they dont have it for you. Hands down, reality, they dont care. It also tells me you havent been a victim ... yet. It takes awhile to get through a few thousand more accounts. They are betraying what has built them in the first place, taking our money and investing it (read their terms they do do that, your money really isnt sitting on the site) If you lost your paypal, you will survive. Networks who do 6 figures in sales a year survive without them (mine being one of them), so you will survive. There are plenty of options.... use them -

Well, I believe you, I know who you are (philba) no need for copies of emails. There is another thread about that here anyway. The partner program... he needs to be careful as that is an investment. Like stock investment, buying a part into the profits from then on. To run things and survive, not only care about members - care about everything. Quality of things, gettings ducks in a row, immediately kill obstacles too. -

Then they shouldnt open more sites. Make the current ones sell first. I have 17 sites with a bigger membership than what he has (it was more but I merged some into my 2 Pangea's which are very successful since doing that) but the sites are each programmed by me, from scratch in a text pad of all things. Pay my people out, answer my own support tickets, do my own graphics, and do my own dedicated servers. And that isnt the entire list of what I do. No support people, no hired programmers, not even graphic design, no replicated scripts (copies). But I still pay people, which is also 5 figures in commissions a year too. It is not OK to excuse people when I kick my @ss every single day (no vacation for the past several years either) and a few others do the same level also. But those exuses would not survive if this was the restaurant world. The restaurants would go under. BTW, I'm not here to bash people. I am just very blunt about things on how it is. And I do wonder what's up with putting out 20 sites with the same script and not paying people. He is one of the older owners on here, not the oldest but near it and this is unusual, the past couple years. I actually miss the orginal sites he had. -

ORU is an affiliate program thing. It bugs me because it's not a real solution and seems to be taking advantage of people and their loss of ppal account. Plus its just another visa card like one you can get at a drugstore or anywhere, there are numerous of these. It is not on my sites either. Uphold is really really good. I just sent another commission to someone there, and take in orders also. No problems. What is really unique tho is I can switch bitcoin to usd, or usd to bitcoin and others. I put every card on there to use. But they dont have payment buttons, you just send to a username or an email address. For some this might matter, in my case it doesnt. -

....I'm speechless. Hardly even know what to say about that. Shocked. That is not how you handle things. What you do is, RUN and pay what is owed to that member because it's your mistake overlooking it or delaying for whatever reason. And you certainly do not brag about how much you are paying out to people, when people reporting that they are not getting ...PAID. So, what happened? Does it just sit there in your account? For how long tho? if you dont mind me asking? -
Paypal is evil and not going to hide how I feel about them, they have been on the dark side on & off since 2003, I was with them from the beginning of them! But anyway I have alot of history with this. Lately, it was what I call "the goldylocks years" of 2008-2016 when hardly anyone was closed. Since 2016 ... its apocalypse years (haha). Good thing crypto is here. But.. ahhh here is no way to avoid it as it has spread everywhere, in every arena now and I guess really hitting ebay people hard too. Its now even into accepting commissions from sites. I know of two sites that some would would recognize if I said the names of them. AND it is not the site owners fault (I think they are being watched for awhile before closure) Sorry to say but there is no certain thing to do as I had an account that apparently only 15% had, and did nothing new to cause closure, which got nabbed at the beginning of december - and two new ones in January. And I give up for awhile now. I guess its luck or borrowed time now for the rest. Best thing for you and everyone else is to just dont depend on them, they cant be trusted - obviously.

Paypal is evil. How their stock doubled since doing this (since 2016 and esculating all to hell now) is beyond me. I now tell everyone on my sites to be flexible and have more than paypal in this day and age. (in fact... run from it). Anyway - I think less and less sites will open also. It'll go back how it used to be. It is not normal for a new site to be opening everyday, or new ones multiple times a day or even a week. It almost killed everything from 2010-2016.

You are doing that on anything. TE, safelists, adboards, solo ads, etc. Back in the day FFA also worked great then it got worn out. But.. Those advertisers you see, obviously join programs or else they would not be advertising correct? So you advertise to them to join yours too and add that program to their list also. Hardly anyone just sticks to 1 program / site.

Ah I didnt know that about Coinbase, I really like them also. And... paypal just got my personal account a few hours ago too. My daughter is afraid to even check hers. She is about to start graphics to the minecraft arena and afraid its going to be taken before she even starts. Well, Matthew Graves just posted (on my FB) that the owner of jvzoo? talked with paypal and they said that its employees doing it and there is NO SET criteria. And I guess they are going to look at the accounts being closed. But I will believe that when I see it. Its hard to believe that ppal who makes millions a day, leaves employees with no set policies/criteria to run wild. Honetsly, I think they had a ton of chargebacks from T.monsoon and trying to save their merchant account, and their image, and even possible criminal charges over it. That is just a theory. -

Wow that is really weird (remove a button that you dont even use!?). A bot went wild then dont you think? Because they got Clare on Christmas - so really, who works eyeballing accounts on that day? It's a freakin' puzzle to figure it out. Well, p.pal relented yesterday and "took another look" at thehackernews and gave all their accounts back. They have 500K twitter followers, blue checkmark, huge site subscription. They gave back the account to celebrities too, one was just getting donations for his cancer cause! So if you have people screaming at them in droves, they reopen it and admit their mistake. But if you are smaller, like the many THOUSANDS of people its happened to, you get ignored. Even if you have 15+ year old accounts, somehow a sudden threat to them. What a deceptive image they marketed. Yes everyone move on I agree. But I have a hard time doing so because if someone slaps me in the face that I trusted especially, I wont walk away and I dont forget and wont let them forget it. Good you are using UPHOLD. They seem to be working really good. Last night I sent BTC to it, which it converted it to USD. But switched it back to BTC using those virtual cards. Looks like they can be switched even to India's rupee and all kinds of things! -

Oh, but its not just in our industry, or arena. It is everywhere, even celebrities, news sites, ect. I think it's a bot went wild. Because back in 2016 they limited me twice, and said "You need to remove our button from Bestlistmailer.com/login.php and other weird pages. The button wasn't even on those pages and I think there was something else that was totally off the mark. A long time ago (like 14 years ago) I think it was real people. Not anymore. Clare, back in 2016 I felt liberated too and was posting on my facebook "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" song about it... (from the Wizard of oz movie) but then had to do what I had to do, sobering reality of biz. And same again just this November. -

Hi Clare! Ok. Now I'm convinced its a bot... I doubt the compliance team (or whatever it is) was so gung-ho that they just HAD to hunt people on Christmas day like rabid dogs hahahaha Did you see how they took ALL the accounts of thehackernews? thats a very very big site too. And I also think they got easyhits4u a month or two ago as they removed it again. -

Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K replied to captkirk's topic in Commons
That is the reason they give EVERYONE.... you probably didnt do a thing. They even say that same reason to those who sells graphics or Candles and NOT in this arena. This go around is not the first time. And Who knows what the REAL reason is. I now even entertain the wild idea that they have more than one merchant account and it gets dinged up by someone borrowing it to process sales (thats what we all are doing on ppal, borrowing their merchant account. And they charge 5-6 times more than the real fee of processing a sale!), and then had a bunch of chargebacks on it. So maybe they have to purge most users on that merchant account... so visa/mastercard/etc doesn't take their processing away. That can happen. But Who knows if its true, its just a theory. But I have had MANY support tickets from people about their ppal accounts for the past couple weeks, that it happened to them, and asking me on how to get commissions on OTHER sites. I just tell them to not depend on ppal this isn't new. It depends on the other sites to do something about it. -

Irks me too! "something bad with your sites because you cant accept ppal". THAT is the image they have marketed out there for many years. Well, it's like those companies "menthol cigarettes are GOOD for you, they COOL the throat". hahahaha I just did something about it all week long. its now a freaking chess game. Darren, You are probably one, like the rest of us, who wakes up wondering "Is today the day the suddenly close my account for no reason again, and sit on my own hard earned sales for the next 6 months? And people's commissions too!" kind of fear. I've seen Bell post that, I've posted that, and numerous others in messenger say it (I mean on facebook).I see others in other arena's say it. Which have nothing to do with the biz opp arena. (like we are in). All I can say, I'm done catering my sites around their MADE UP rules and done catering to people who think there is something wrong with you if ppal screws you. Seriously? I just had visa, mastercard, discover and american express (amex is picky) do a credit check on me and approve me to process their cards directly, like many other people have done. But nooooo ppal says you're bad so therefore you are naughty! They use the same cards. But, after ppal just nabbed account number 12 recently from me... which was weirdly almost 12 years old and really was built up with their capitial loans and their credit galore... I'm done done done handling it with kid gloves. Done done done hiding that they do this. Anyone wants to say I'm bad or my sites are bad because of ppal - then cuddle up to ppal. I'm sure they love you long time. (saying it sarcasticly...) -
Safelist help
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K replied to PDFutral's topic in Safelists, Mailers, Autoresponders
No they dont convert better because matching numbers and images. Do you know how many times I've been told my safelists are easy for the partially blind to use, the ones who use readers and such? Alot. I also get told by many (not just the partially blind) how many signups (and sales) they make from them. That is why they stick with me, for some, decades now. Not trying to ruffle feathers by disputing that, but its true what I say. -

I cant help it, I have to comment on this one. Paypal is going after everyone again as usual, NOT just the biz opp arena - like this arena is. People who never sell anything, minecraft arena, people who sell candles that they make... my daughter is in that arena and was telling me about it the past couple of months. I was like "mine will come again at some point too". And it did and I got the same form letter, the same old "your account is limited" with the same old "terms yadda yadda yadda..." for the reason as everyone else got. Wether they sold anything or not. I STILL hear people say "but they said my account was excellent"... and dont think they can get it. Think again. They told me that too, loaned me 32,000 dollars, put my account to where my withdraws were instant (only a certain percentage of accounts had this), had zero chargebacks in several years, that particuliar account was 12 years old. Had 3 refunds in 2 years. STILL got me just last week - again. The only reason I even have them on my sites is because people want to be paid by them and a few buy thru them, that is it. Or else they can go to hell. They've been sued in class actions many times, and lost paying out millions each time for closing accounts for zero reason. I was in all 3 lawsuits because they have done it to me literally 12 times now. The last class action just finished last year. They tried to make Trafficmonsoon owner go to Braintreepayments (paypal) so they can still make millions off the transactions before the SEC took action. They are extra harsh the past 3 years, I assume to shield their image that "hey, we didnt know! When we realized it we did a good check of everyone and took action to protect our members" (lies). Meanwhile they penetrate everywhere, such as coinbase, coinpayments, walmart, citibank, etc Anyway... You call about your closed account. They read off some script. You ask them "Why?" they tell you to email the aup department for specifics. You do - you get no answer - Ever. That is how it is, they have been that way since 2003. or Earlier. They used to not have a phone number or an email to contact them, until they were forced to. Now... why everyone insists on using this middleman to buy? I have zero idea, hypnotized? Because when they do, the site or store pays ppal 3 times or more, the credit card transaction fee, of a real merchant account. And so for the site/store to cover that cost - they raise their prices everywhere. But because of not wanting to take the minute to not type in a credit card number, and instead go to some place where its stored already... it will cost more money to buy anything in the long run. Also... Paypal cant "approve" a site (giving it existence), they cant "shut down" a site, they are not the law, they are not a bank, they are letting you use their merchant account and charging 3.. 4... times the fee = profit. I could do the same thing with my merchant account. Anyone can. Plus, your info is seen by many people who work there. How do I know? I filed a police report several years ago for identity theft saying I highly suspect someone at Ppal, because at the time, they were the only ones who had that much info on me. So its not devasting if you lose your ppal account. They EFFING suck. They really do and betray people in a second, portray some squeeky clean image and this crap about "approved by ppal" meanwhile burying the real truths. Just give up on trying to reason with the dragon. It just burns you more. You just go get another and another account as it happens. I hope alot of people read this, spread the word. -
Curious... why a scam site?

The Most Important Sales I Ever Made Online...
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K replied to captkirk's topic in Commons
My first sale was very important, I used to do SEO services. This is when there was askjeeves, altavista and others were popular engines along with FFA sites. Google was a new! My first sale was in trade for giant Ostrich eggs and Emu eggs. I still have 1 of each to this day! (they later would send me a check for services in the mail - we used checks in the mail before ppal and the rest was a factor). But it was important because it showed me there was possibly a way out of a very bad situation. And it ended up to do just. Still to this day. 2 decades later and counting. And I thank the universe it did. -
You should give them to both types of members. And, dont use any old games of the past like zubee and the rest.
