Why I dont buy into the safelist and TEs

Does anybody know what happened to LOL Solos?

 

This is just one more reason I stopped buying into mailers and exchanges. I have had lifetime memberships in several programs in the past couple of years, built up credits, have gotten good leads and then the programs die or sale to some one else and I loose everything I invested in them.

 

Why should I invest in someone that is just going to take my money and move on?

 

Does any one else feel this disappointment?

Nope, I don't feel disappointment now. Since I have been online for many years it's part of doing business online.

 

I was also and upgraded member when LOL first got started.

 

Possible Reason Why they went offline:

• Death
• Illness
• Hosting Company closed them
• PayPal Closed them
• They wasn't making enough money to cover cost
• And the lists goes on and on...

The same can be said of any advertising source. You paid some money and got your ad seen for a time. Like the Capt said, it is a part of doing business. I too have been online in this venue for awhile and have seen many new program come...and go. If the lifetime was a good deal and you got something out of it, then you win. You pay for advertising in either money or time.

Now, I'm having my success with viral mailers...

 

I'm a member of a lot of Traffic Exchanges and Viral Mailers and I didn't hesitate to buy a lifetime membership at Referral Frenzy.

 

In fact, I contacted Marty and asked for a lifetime membership because I didn't see it offered.

I joined LOL Solos when it was a brand new Text ad exchange. I was one of the first 50 members, so I got a free JV membership. That then became a free lifetime top upgrade when it got converted to a viral mailer on the LFMVM script. The original owner has a very big heart, and she sold the site in good faith to another admin. The new admin made a good go of it too. Its a pity its gone now, but I must say, while it was online, it was one my best sites for results. I've lost plenty of mailers where I upgraded "for life". They were all relatively cheap, around or under $50. No regrets, they were good while they lasted.

Well said, I couldn't agree with you more. I am using Mailers daily with good results and have made back my investment.

Free Mailers and Safelist can be very beneficial if your budget is low...You can get some sales and referrals if used correctly...Don't snoze on the effectiveness of Safelist

I love Marty's sites, and Referral Frenzy of course which can be seen by my sig   I haven't been a member for very long yet but I expect great things from there, and with more mailers and monthly bonus sites being added the value there just keeps increasing. Easy choice for me to go for the lifetime there

I have heard it may possibly come back.. but looks like many te's and viral mailers are shutting down.. The paypal thing is hurting others, but there is options.. I added payza to my mailer .. but like captkirk said could be a number of reasons ... I see planet safelist  is also down..

It is getting to the point where it does not pay to take the upgrades in new safelists or mailers. Member numbers just don't grow very faster to justify the prices charged for upgrades. Seems like more and more are shutting down or being sold and dying slow deaths. CTR rates are dropping faster and faster.

The new ones that sell lifetime memberships, especially really cheap, are the most likely ones to disappear. There are a lot of sites that have been around for many years.

I hardly ever use mailers, as most do not have 2,000 to 3,000 members, and most are the same people who are from all the other mailers.

 

People nowadays want instant gratification (money for nothing), and that is the reason mailers (what most people are now calling viral mailers), will never be a huge market.

 

By the way, what is so viral about these mailers, they are mailers, nothing viral about them.  Having a DLB doesn't make it viral, or a list builder.

This is precisely why I place my focus on branding myself and list building.  When you come with an enthusiastic approach to promoting a particular program, safelist, traffic exchange, etc...you leave yourself open to this type of thing.  

 

Companies come and go, however, that list of yours can go with YOU.

Sometimes you win sometimes you lose in the network marketing game. It's like that. I still invest in safelist, less in TE's.

no disappointments at all, all you have to do is move on and don't generalize there are good viral mailers and traffic exchanges in which you spend minutes using them will yield good instant results for you.

i used list jumper for daily mailers, its easy and giving me traffic but if i am talking about conversion, not really.

i am not having any conversion lately.

feeling useless.

I've joined numerous TE's and Credit Based List Builders in the past only to see them go out of existence.  I don't join any of them for the long term anymore.

Yeah, alot of them have a few members left but very minimal results.  I spent a couple of years writing lists of safelists and traffic exchanges, eliminating the ones with no results after split testing landing pages, etc.  Mind numbing and it took hours, days, weeks!  But I do have a list that works for me and I use it all the time: https://www.acheiving-success.co.uk/free-traffic-site-list

anyhow i agree with this.  nonetheless i have quite a few upgraded mailers due to buying other stuffs and

it came along with it.  once i upgraded on my own because the owner seemed like a friend still does.  I

don't make a practice of doing it.
