It’s a good thing that y’all already have alternative payment methods set up. Clare Bowen 1 Quote Tommie Kirkland (Captkirk) Here... Clare Bowen Posted January 2, 2019 Report Posted January 2, 2019 Hi Tommie, thank you, yes permanent, both business and personal accounts. It's hard to explain my feelings around this. It's almost a relief. I know it's a preferred processor for many, and so it's a loss to some member's who are used to paying and getting paid with it, but I feel somewhat liberated, and we're really positive going into the future without Paypal. Yep, anyone using PayPal now is scared of the day they will get banned - but once it's done that fear is no longer there so you can just move forward. It definitely sucks if you relied heavily on it... but you will transition and be better for it... as more and more people stop using PayPal in our industry then it will seem less and less necessary and our industry will be stronger too. Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K Posted January 3, 2019 Report Posted January 3, 2019 Wow that is really weird (remove a button that you dont even use!?). A bot went wild then dont you think? Because they got Clare on Christmas - so really, who works eyeballing accounts on that day? It's a freakin' puzzle to figure it out. Well, p.pal relented yesterday and "took another look" at thehackernews and gave all their accounts back. They have 500K twitter followers, blue checkmark, huge site subscription. They gave back the account to celebrities too, one was just getting donations for his cancer cause! So if you have people screaming at them in droves, they reopen it and admit their mistake. But if you are smaller, like the many THOUSANDS of people its happened to, you get ignored. Even if you have 15+ year old accounts, somehow a sudden threat to them. What a deceptive image they marketed. Yes everyone move on I agree. But I have a hard time doing so because if someone slaps me in the face that I trusted especially, I wont walk away and I dont forget and wont let them forget it. Good you are using UPHOLD. They seem to be working really good. Last night I sent BTC to it, which it converted it to USD. But switched it back to BTC using those virtual cards. Looks like they can be switched even to India's rupee and all kinds of things! Darren Olander Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 Sounds like I need to check out Uphold, thanks! I just realized you can send fiat through Coinbase now too using the USDC (USD Coin) stable token. Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K Posted January 4, 2019 Report Posted January 4, 2019 Ah I didnt know that about Coinbase, I really like them also. And... paypal just got my personal account a few hours ago too. My daughter is afraid to even check hers. She is about to start graphics to the minecraft arena and afraid its going to be taken before she even starts. Well, Matthew Graves just posted (on my FB) that the owner of jvzoo? talked with paypal and they said that its employees doing it and there is NO SET criteria. And I guess they are going to look at the accounts being closed. But I will believe that when I see it. Its hard to believe that ppal who makes millions a day, leaves employees with no set policies/criteria to run wild. Honetsly, I think they had a ton of chargebacks from T.monsoon and trying to save their merchant account, and their image, and even possible criminal charges over it.That is just a theory. Jerry McDowell Posted January 13, 2019 Report Posted January 13, 2019 I lost my Paypal account. I started to use Stripe now. Paypal just close my account with out tell me what I did wrong. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services. rpsmith Posted January 14, 2019 Report Posted January 14, 2019 Paypal has had a nasty habit of doing things like this without warning. This is why I suggest that website owners offer more than one payment option on their site. Quote Free Video Chat Service! Get Connected And Stay Connected!Click Here!

Clare Bowen Posted January 30, 2019 Report Posted January 30, 2019 To stick my neck out a bit here, but I'm just being honest, my intention is not to offend or anything. When I see owners promoting and pushing ORU, which some are quite heavily, sending out member mails, writing it on their blog etc, it looks more like they're rubbing their hands together at the prospect of earning money from their members via the processor they're using, than by the service they're supposed to be providing. I doubt that I'm alone in that feeling and I'd hate for our members to think that of us. For that reason, we'll hold back from using it at all, unless of course, there are enough requests coming to us directly from our members. gnana 1 Quote

Yea, and from what I read ORU is not even a normal processor - you can't put buy buttons or integrate an API to do payments (at the moment anyway, I don't know what their plans are). Their growth seems simply hyped by the income opportunity, and timing, since people have had such trouble finding alternatives. So if you can't put them on your website to process automatically and can only do payments member to member directly that doesn't make it useful to me... I'm not going to ask my members to pay to join another site just to get paid from me, that is not fair. Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K Posted January 31, 2019 Report Posted January 31, 2019 ORU is an affiliate program thing. It bugs me because it's not a real solution and seems to be taking advantage of people and their loss of ppal account.Plus its just another visa card like one you can get at a drugstore or anywhere, there are numerous of these. It is not on my sites either. Uphold is really really good. I just sent another commission to someone there, and take in orders also. No problems. What is really unique tho is I can switch bitcoin to usd, or usd to bitcoin and others. I put every card on there to use. But they dont have payment buttons, you just send to a username or an email address. For some this might matter, in my case it doesnt. angeleyes500001 Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 Hi Fellow MCP Members and Guests? Tommie Kirkland (Captkirk) here... It would be a really sad day if I lost my PayPal account. Numerous sites that I have promoted through the years have never bounced back after being banned by PayPal. And my sales took a nose dive because the account no longer accepted PayPal. No one was interested in the other Payment processors. I have no idea what I would do if my PayPal account was limited or banned by them. What Would You Do If You Lost Your PayPal Account?Well I have been noticing with some of these sites I have become a member of don't do paypal they say its because paypal has banned them.I don't know what I'd do if I lost my paypal account That's my main account to making money online. I have other options now that I had to take if wanted to get paid from these sites that paypal banned but I love paypal so much more HANDSDOWN. Quote
Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 You should not love paypal and should not be putting loyalty on them like that, trust me they dont have it for you. Hands down, reality, they dont care. It also tells me you havent been a victim ... yet.It takes awhile to get through a few thousand more accounts. They are betraying what has built them in the first place, taking our money and investing it (read their terms they do do that, your money really isnt sitting on the site) If you lost your paypal, you will survive.Networks who do 6 figures in sales a year survive without them (mine being one of them), so you will survive. There are plenty of options.... use them Clare Bowen 1 Quote PHP Programmer - Internet Marketer - Web Designer - Advertising Network OwnerCelebrating 22 years in business - Since 1998https://webstars2k.com

Gordon McQue Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 Hi All, Here's the latest from Traffic Wave :- Effective immediately, TrafficWave.net will no longer be partnering with PayPal as an online recurring payment option.Since 2000, in addition to providing high quality online marketing services, our business model has included a network marketing component to reward our member base for referrals to our system. In their ongoing attempts to combat fraudulent marketing schemes, PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) includes vebriage that they can, without recourse, limit or deny access to their systems to anyone they feel is in violation of these policies. In our 20 year history, this is the fourth time that PayPal has done this to TrafficWave.net - the most recent in December of 2017. In every case, we have appealed their "ruling" and have been reinstated upon a closer review by higher management. Maryanne Myers -Webstars2K Posted April 14, 2019 Report Posted April 14, 2019 B*llsh*t. It is not about combatting fraud as ppal says.it's purging digital services and goods over money. That is why it's so weird and final now. No way of getting around that we all sell digitial services/goods. No policy, no wording, no type of site, etc changes that. But, it was the 4th time for my last account too, they nabbed the same one in 2010 (once), 2016 (twice) and then finally the 4th time in Dec. 2018 it was closed. It's just over for it being a factor anymore. They are 100% replaced on my own sites and the engine is running full force as usual. Anyone still using it - expect closure. Any site who has put it back onto their site - expect closure. ANyone buying digitial services/good - graphics, games, advertising, ect - expect closure. Anyone receiving commissions - they watch site owners account (fact, I can name two), expect closure. So just get rid of them and use something else that doesn't pull the rug out from underneath you.
