Mailers, are they getting you results?

I have seen a lot of great responses to the mailers question. I would like to add that I have found for me, that when I started using mailers with smaller memberships, my click rates skyrocketed. People had more time to really read my posting instead of just clicking for credits. Please don't get me wrong, I use some mailers that have 10,000 's of members and get good response. But when I recently started using more smaller mailers, the results were impressive. 

 

 

I've had the total opposite result, many of the smaller mailers for me are producing click thru rates so small It's hard to even justify the time of mailing there, as low as 4 or 5 clicks per email.. I can get that from posting a link in twitter or spamming facebook, lol.. with the flood of LFMVM's coming in it seems to me (from the outside looking in) that there are a lot of people coming into the industry who just don't 'get it' and it is obvious in the results at their generic ABC mailer they launch.

When you use a viral mailer like GlobalViralMailer you are sending emails to the members's contact email versus list email for most safelists. Translation - just like sending a contact solo ad everytime.

I'm not so sure about this though. If I'm not asked for a contact AND a list email address in a safelist, then I give my list email address as my main address. You see, my main email inbox is for admin messages and personal messages and from individual peoples list mailings, where i want to hear from them specifically.

I do scan read list emails before clicking the credit link, but i don't want my main email inbox clogged up with them.

Especially as I am working out of doors most days with my offline business and really don't want to have to look at my phone every couple of minutes to see if an email is important.

They are a core part of my advertising, I'm getting great results with mailers. I use around 20-25 mailers every day.

Me too,, but it helps when you can auto post cuts down on time, which allows you to mail to hundreds !!

I love mailers. I wouldn't discount any advertising avenue though. Especially if you own the program(s) you are promoting and will be promoting the same offers, long term... it helps to have a variety of tools & prospects to advertise too. Safelists, TEs, TAEs...etc.

Yes its a Numbers game so more advertisng outlets the better the % of views !!!

 

I get pretty even results between TE's and Mailers, though I have also a lot of time invested into mastering advertising on TE's.. Mailers are definitely more effective for new people, there is a lot more grace and room for error when creating your ads.. with Traffic Exchanges you need to be more targeted and thoughtful of your audience to pull the same results, though they both serve different functions and each serve them very well, I couldn't say one is better than the other (not just because I own both types) because they both have their place and I wouldn't advertise without making sure to address both mediums. While Mailers do seem to do very well for acquisition, traffic exchanges are gold when it comes to reminding people to come back to your site

I use safelists daily or at least twice a week. The key is to use a good landing page to capture the prospects information.

I make my living using free mailers. There is a system to it if you know how to use it. Tracking using tags or a good ad tracker is of very important. I have a software program that I can earn enough credits to mail any safelist in 5-10 minites. You can send 1000's emails everyday and it's 100% legal. I have read through all the messages here and find myself thinking. I use SL Genie and with it I am able to belong to almost 200 SL Mailers and control use of them. I can mail to almost 100 SLs daily with numbers of subscribers from a few hundred up to 49,000. With SL Genie I can process thur 200 SLs in less than a month and control credit usage. I would be sending pretty close to that if I didn't remove some of the dead mailers from my list every so often. You can not have enough quality mailers!

The tools available make the 100 a dahave doable. I use SL Genie myself but others here use other tools that are worth looking at. Take the time to look into the various tools and see if they will help you.

I use mailers consistently and I am pleased with the results. Of course some mailer have better results than others. Tracking is therefore essential in order to know where to concentrate your efforts. I have also found it great to upgrade during the massive launch offers but this is only on launches by well-known Admins whom I have tried and tested before. The 100% commissions passive income is nice to receive on a longer-term basis.

I have been using mailers but recently not using them anymore. I have been having success with them. Consistency is key. Always have the plan to build your list. Splash pages can be effective when using mailers. This takes away the focus away from the timer. test test test. Manage you credits using platform like trafficzipper from central point. This way you can see which mailers you have credits and send your campaigns everyday.
