vginasands Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 I kept getting these emails about these traffic exchange sites, so I took the plunge and joined something called referral frenzy. I thought that I would put in one code and that my mail would be sent to these 111 sites. Well the reality is that I have to fumble through each of these sites and join individually and wad through each page that show you an upsell, downsell, less, sale each time you sign up. It takes another set of emails to get your referral number to go back to the site to input the referral information to each of these sites. As part of my marketing strategy, I was waiting on a phone broadcast to go to 20K and thought well, I have some time to waste. So I can do some marketing for myself. Since I had already paid to join referral frenzy so I started joining these 111 sites that each could potentially cost on the high side $97.00 year down to a low of $9.00/month. The funny thing is you are asked to pay your money beofre you know whether this insane arrangement even works. One site wanted $497.00 for a lifetime membership (really??) I have been doing this sign up thing for the last two days. The bad part is that my inbox is full of these emails from all these sites. My question could this stuff really make sense to this many people. In the name of research I will go with this for the next 10 days and report my findings I notice that some people own multiple sites so you get the same emails 3-4 times. What a mess. At this end of this trial I will finally have a definitive answer as to whether these owners of these sites are just ripping people off or if they have any value. At the end Now i have to go and unjoin all these sites to take control of my inbox. Whew!!!! Brian Francis 1 Quote How to Make $7K/ month in 7 weeks
Clare Bowen Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I think you bring a very interesting perspective and I'm looking forward to your reports. I belong to hundreds of sites, but I use a fraction of them in my marketing. If you find viral mailer marketing works for you, you should consider creating folders for different sites (or categories) and setting emails to go to these, bypassing your inbox Brian Francis 1 Quote
Guest mrclean0325 Posted December 5, 2016 Report Posted December 5, 2016 I recommend using a new separate Gmail account for mailers. Depending on how many mailers and how many emails you get per day, you may need more than one so you don't start bouncing emails and get problems from the sites. As Clare said, to keep it from becoming a total mess you should use folders and create filters to put the emails from the different programs in a folder. Like make a folder called "Marketing Checkpoint" and then find an email from them and create a filter (Google it and you will find many tutorials) to put all these emails in that folder. You do this for all you join. It makes managing them SO much easier and keeps the inbox pretty clear. The folders also tell you how many email per day you are getting from these sources and if you need to get credits from one when you are running short, it makes it much easier to do this too As you said, it is kinda silly to pay for something you don't even know will work for you of even give you a positive ROI for your advertising dollars. Allen Tan Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 I am no user of referral frenzy and I was told its awesome. I am curious and will be looking forward to your research result. Quote
captkirk Posted December 7, 2016 Report Posted December 7, 2016 I was a member of hundred of viral mailers before I joined Referral Frenzy. It make perfect since for me to join since I was already a member of most of the viral mailers listed. In fact, I could have kicked myself for not joining earlier. BTW, I'm a lifetime member, I didn't hesitate to upgrade. I asked Marty if she had that option! Quote Tommie Kirkland (Captkirk) Here...
