Personally, I have been following Darren

for quite a while based on ListSurfing.

To me, he was just another of the great owners

of traffic sites that I enjoy.

Then, everything changed and I found

Prosperity Marketing System.

I then followed Darren, because I appreciated

the value that he gave to the marketing community

along with the tools that he gave at the most

reasonable price.

I was surprised to find that I could join for less

than 30 dollars Lifetime, and that I could make more

than 20 dollars from each paid referral! This ratio

was previously unheard of in marketing systems.

I am not even beginning to describe the tools and

values from Prosperity. This is the reason that

I follow Darren.

Matt I have "known" from various traffic sites.

Actually, I have never met him, just have seen him

around quite a bit. This is one reason branding

always helps.

Haha, this is funny. If anyone "follows" me, they'd be crazy. I don't know if anyone can follow me without getting lost!

Though since Darren and I work together quite a bit, by following Darren...you're kind of following me, just not in the literal sense. ;)

Hi,

I found this website through an email ad. I don't really have anyone I follow. If someone opens something I like and use, I will often join something else they run. But then again, if I don't think the site is a good fit for me, I just don't join.

I joined this website because I like the idea of "social" and "emailing" mainly.

lol nice Matt :P, In a way I follow Darren and Matt but honestly I just know them to put in a lot of time and effort into building a quality site so I know putting my name to it and sending their new site to my list is a positive thing. Quality over quantity

Hey, Darren and Matt are pleasant enough. I have spoken to them both, but for me it is about the results and the results that I am getting out of their sites, had me join this site and any other.

I guess that does make me a follower!

Lead on gents!

I've known both Matt and Darren for nearly 6 years now, from a time when we were all working in the same business - a business social network that basically "blew up on the launch pad" when the programmers bailed out on the founder barely hours before the launch - and scrubbed all of the code from the site! I'll leave it to them (Matt and Darren) if they wish to talk about that experience any further. As for me, I chalked it all up to experience and moved on. Was I bummed about it? Sure! But after an acceptable "period of mourning" for the failed program I picked myself up and got back in the game!

I can vouch for the fact that both of these guys are true professionals who understand the true foundational principles of good marketing, starting with the core principle that the needs of the customer come first! I was fortunate enough to have learned that pearl of wisdom from my father as I was growing up, working in our family-owned grocery store. That was over 50 years ago, but some principles are timeless, and that's one of them!

We had pretty much gone our separate ways when that startup failed, but I have been on Darren's mailing list all this time and I found this forum through one of his "list" emails. It just goes to show you that even though some people on your list don't always respond, as long as they don't unsubscribe you should consider them to be active prospects! Believe me - in the current environment, if people don't want to hear from you, they'll unsubscribe in a heartbeat!

Don, that whole implosion was very unfortunate. Every once in a while I think how my life would be different (better or worse) had it not imploded. We all learned quite a bit from that experience, for sure. Heck, that's how Darren and I met. I'm honored you still remember me from those days - time flies, huh?

And thank you for the very kind words, they mean a lot. :)

Agreed! It's really cool to hear from someone else from back then! And Welcome to MC Don, you've contributed a lot already so thank you :)

What you say about lists is what a lot of people actually overlook... A user can be on your list for years and do nothing and finally do something one day, the same as a member in your site who does nothing for a couple years then decides to upgrade and be super active - it happens! That is the value of building that list in the first place - those people will always be there unless they decide to unsubscribe.

I haven't been following for very long, but I know Darren has been a great help.   He always seems to be there when you need him.   I just wanted to give him a thumbs up.

Haven't really followed either one of you, but have "seen" Darren around for many years.

He just seemed to appear where i was... always seemed honest and trustworthy with a

good sense for business. Didn't know Matt from Adam, but knew if he was partnered with

Darren, he had some good qualities.

That's why when I stumbled across this forum, I had to be a part of it.

I watch and follow quite a few. I'm always learning, and from several folks. Seen both Darren's and Matt's work for several years now, and must admit that was one of the reasons I decided to join here, but I actually found it googling for answers to questions I had... Usually how I find most things unless I've seen them in emails and bookmark the links to look at later.

I don't know Darren or Matt.  I am new here, I received an email and it lead me here.  Looks interesting,

but don't know how it works yet.  Need all the tips and help I can get.  I do know a few of the members, hopefully

that will help. :)

We're happy you've joined, Kathy. We've been working on making MarketingCheckpoint a solution that helps teach and educate than it has been the past couple years. There's a lot of work to get there, but we're pretty confident the entity as a whole will be well received!
