I have heard pros and cons to purchased solo ads. I am even a member of udimi. My question is; Is it really worth the money spent? It seems a little pricey.

There are lot of them out there that provides free mailing credits. We don't need to buy solo at all and they are working. You just need to work on your advert message.

It really seems pricey but it actually is no pricey. With a good opt-in page you can get a subscriber for less than $1. Still you need a very good and outstanding offer and strong follow up series, because the subscribers you get are in 10s of other lists.

I believe is more like a hit and miss with solo ads. I have done well but I have done a lot worse too while trying different udimi providers. 

Its seems as most are selling solo ads by the sake of it (off course, its their business) but sometimes I wonder if they have a list at all or what kind of subscribers that really have on their lists. We just never know unless we tried them. I have actually done better with those that have smaller lists, because these are new people who are trying hard to build their reputation, so they do make sure we get what we pay for. But at the end, it will depend as mentioned above, the capture page and the offer we provide.
