I love this thread and the inspiring images, Failing is how we learn, just like riding a bike for the first time, your going to fall off until you get the balance right.

Did you know that a lot of things we use and take for granted today were actually accidents? Some of these were discovered by accident, where thought of as a bad thing by others, or from failures to make something else. These "failures" either started a whole industry or made the finder extremely wealthy in some cases. In all cases the people involved were smart enough to not quit when they failed.

Microwave Oven

Play Doh

Corn Flakes

Teflon

Safety Glass

Saccharin

Penicillin

Coca Cola

Pace Makers

Bakelite

Smart Dust

Velcro

Vaseline

Slinky

WD40

Super Glue

Post It Notes

Vulcanized Rubber

Anesthesia

Dye

Radioactivity

X Rays

Viagra

Dynamite

Strike Anywhere Matches

Gun Powder

There are more, but most of these were from people FAILING at making what they started out to make. There were smart enough to see the value of what they failed at though...can you find success in your failures?

Remember, Edison didn't invent the light bulb - he failed 10,000 times to make it stay lit longer than a few minutes by trying different materials. He got the fame, credit, and the money - he just improved something, found a better way because he saw the potential....who really invented the light bulb then?
