Darren Olander Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Generally how many hours a day do you work on your business? I know in my early days it was practically all my spare time, now it is much much less. Danielgync, Johnnybync, greg55 and 4 others 1 6 Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog

Maria McCarthy Posted February 4, 2014 Report Posted February 4, 2014 When I started last year, i was working online about 20 hrs a day, 7 days a week. I barely slept each night for the first 4 months. But as the learning curve leveled out (I was able to perform tasks quicker), I built up my downlines and got my foundation set up for most of my own sites, the hours steadily came down. Now I hardly ever work more than 10 hours a day ...but I might put in a 16 hour day here or there. I only work a couple of hours on the Saturdays and Sundays, if I feel like it. Last week I took a bit of a vacation (the first I've allowed myself since I started) I didn't put out any promotions (I still approved member advertising and responded to tickets), but I was still able to cover costs, paid out a few hundred in commissions and made extra money, so the hard work is beginning to pay off. Took me about 16-17 months to get here and it just keeps getting better. Quote http://begetmarketing.com/images/beget468.gif
Kenny Kolijn Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Now that I got a solid foundation I'm spending less time to generate (more) traffic than before. But then again I'm using the extra free time to "work" on new projects, even if that's not really "working" as I love what I'm doing. If you have ideas and want something, you can enjoy "working" on the details and planning everything. Currently I have a full time day job. I wake up 6AMand return home 7.30PM, so I use my evenings, weekends, lunch breaks and train & bus rides to do some work Quote You're invited to my NEW site List Impact.http://www.listimpact.com/affiliate/banners/468x60b.jpgWant me to build a profitable advertising site for you? John Priestley Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 Wow! I thought I was doing a lot of hours, but nothing like you guys. makes my four or five hours look quite measly. Best regards, John. Quote
Robert David Smith Posted February 5, 2014 Report Posted February 5, 2014 I am in the 12 hours plus per day 5-7 days per week. Quote
John Bell Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 All of it, I pretty much still do it as a hobby / for fun even though it's been my full time income for a few years... I just prefer to do it when nothing else is going on, but when I started it was definitely every minute every day possible... I've been sick this week and have been able to just do my daily stuff an hour or so a day, so that's probably all I really NEED to work, but I'd rather put in more time then watch tv or any other mindless things so usually if I'm just at home doing nothing - I'm working, which ends up being probably half a day or more.. though admittedly most of it is just chatting with people lol Quote
Sandy Posted February 8, 2014 Report Posted February 8, 2014 I feel you need to spend as much time as you can. Especially in the beginning to get everything set and test as much as you can.Sandy Quote Sandy Mangis
AnnaLoredana Posted February 9, 2014 Report Posted February 9, 2014 I spend most of my spare time on internet. Since my family and personal interests require a lot of time my daytime, I mainly work nightime. I read also a lot. I am not an active presence in social networks because I do not like the kind of relationship.I am quite happy. Quote
Octav Alexandrescu Posted February 12, 2014 Report Posted February 12, 2014 6 hours per day it's enough for me and yes, I am not active in social networks because the results from there are poor for meI dedicated all my online time for viral mailers or manual traffic exchangesThank you,Octav Quote
Guest Andy B Posted February 13, 2014 Report Posted February 13, 2014 As I also have an offline business, I tend to spend most of my evenings working online but also whenever as the waeather is bad as my offline business is outdoor and I can't work in the wind or rain. Being in UK, this means that I have had a LOT of time online lately. Oh, sorry, need to go, just seen my sofa floating off outside! ;-) Quote
xiqual Posted February 17, 2014 Report Posted February 17, 2014 As I also give face-to-face self-empowerment training,I tend to invest only spare time to growing mine online passion. Most of evenings and at least 50% time of free weekends working online. Quote
John Priestley Posted July 2, 2014 Report Posted July 2, 2014 I have ramped-up my time on-line over the past few weeks and it is starting to show results. I now do around 5 hours per day. It is not too tedious, although I have to get myself out of bed a bit earlier to accommodate it (smile). Best regards, John. Quote

Ted Carter Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 I am retired and not as hungry as I once was so I spend about 4-6 hours a day. I take the weekends off though. Quote All The Best,TedSkype ted.carter24http://www.12path.com/red1/
John Priestley Posted July 9, 2014 Report Posted July 9, 2014 OK, I can see that I cannot compete with some of you. However, I do try to make the limited hours that I am online to be as effective as possible, a mixture of surfing, posting and learning. Keep on trucking, John. target 1 Quote
Wesley Studemire Posted July 26, 2014 Report Posted July 26, 2014 It seems like there isn't enough time in a day to do what your mind thinks you can do. Time is an element that we as marketer have very little of, at first thought. But thru the practice of time development, we learn how to allocate time to get it done. John Priestley Posted July 27, 2014 Report Posted July 27, 2014 I remember when I did a distance learning MBA course, the first thing they taught us was time management. I was surprised at how much time you can find in a day using commuting time effectively and not watching so much trash on the TV. It was certainly an eye-opener. Have a grand start to the week, John. successful1 Posted November 10, 2014 Report Posted November 10, 2014 Right now I try to commit to working at least a couple hours per day...promoting a couple CB sites using a variety of ad sites like mailers. Daily sending out ads for me is almost like therapy...and hopefully try and snag a few sales along the way too 1stmate2015 1 Quote

successful1 Posted November 19, 2014 Report Posted November 19, 2014 I looked at List Jumper, It was a good program! I may eventually pick It up, but It's not the right time. Thanks It's tricky at times to decide on what lists to upgrade and which to pass/hold off on... Like I read on another thread, following the launch dates of reputable list owners/admins is a good start. Quote
Guest Clare Johnson Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Me too, I'm on 10-12 hours/day pretty much 7 days a week. My problem is that I have bought so many things, I just can't focus on one thing as I'm trying to go through all the training! Anyone else have a similar problem? Steve Man and 1stmate2015 2 Quote
xiqual Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Yeah, first thing first. Commuting time can be made profitable:* if yourself are the driver, you can listen to podcasts or audiobooks related to your learning needs.* otherwise, you can as well write, mindmap... sky is the limit. Forget TV, you are making a change from content consumer to content creator/provider! Quote
