If you had to start over in TE and Safelists, What would you do?

I've been off line for a little over a year and am just getting back on line.  I recognize several of the names in this forum as having been in this niche for many years now.  If you lost it all and knowing what you know now, where would you start?

 

Thank goodness I saved my excel spreadsheets with all of my usernames and passwords which made it easy to get logged back in to all of my accounts. :D

I've spent a few days going through the TE's and mailers trying to clean up my links.  A lot has changed for sure.

I would just get started and start posting ads all over the Internet to expose my website to the world.

 

I’m a member of hundreds of advertising sites and have made it a habit to post ads 365(6) days a year to get my sites seen.

Welcome back to the online I would take note of the Safelist and TE sites that are getting the most frequent and current exposure, because those are usually the ones getting the most fresh traffic in, and so most likely to get results.

Clare, that's a good idea. I have also been studying the different headlines and body copy to see what makes me feel like I want to click the link.

There are so many opportunities out there and all requiring some kind of payment then

they disappear and so does your money.  You have to be careful out there.  Stay away

from anything you think may not last.

Thats a very simple question to answer from my point of view. I would build my list, using the ranked and proven resources in the Hoopla family, simply because having used them for years now ( well sicne they started) and knowing the owners, they work incredibly hard to keep the exchanges fresh, so if you took time out, as I sometimes do, then you can simply pick up where you left off.

 

But the focus would be on list building and not opportunity promoting, because if you build your list, you build your freedom effectivley

Hoopla is COMPLETELY biased and self serving.  And always has been.

 

That is why you dont see certain owners on it.

That is why you see certain sites on it (because they run weekly or monthly contests and dont tell others that its biased!)

 

My sites used to be listed for years on it, until I spoke out about that very thing - boom, my were replaced with a bunch of replicated sites, so of course.

So, I am telling you - it is self serving and biased and NOT ranking about what is best.

Why in the world would anyone signup to it just to get the owner credits and cash for the contests and commissions... all along saying it's ranking by best for them and ranked by proven resources.

I would spend my time surfing at the biggest traffic exchange(s) with the most active users... in practice, for me, this would mean EasyHits4U

If I could start over I would take the plunge right into paid advertising with TEs and safelists. I would NOT have spend so much time relying on free methods.
