Matthew Graves owed me money several months ago.

Actually; I had requested a refund of $18...he ignored it UNTIL

I contacted him via email.

I also told him I was now aware he is a scammer and to

not even think of ignoring my refund request as I will surely

notify EVERYONE I KNOW! He knows I have been a marketer

since 1995 and to not take me seriously would be his mistake.

He refunded me rather quickly!  :D

Glad it worked for you!  Matthew Graves has ignored me repeatedly and then told me that he is providing a different service, but I am choosing not to use it.  I then told him unless I receive refunds for the 3 sites I paid for lifetime memberships, I would file a complaint with Canadian authorities.  Apparently he doesn't care because there has been no response. He heeds to be shut down!

He's owed me hundreds of dollars for nearly 2 years now.

When I started complaining on Facebook, I received the following response in Messenger:

In case you haven't noticed Phil. Those who complain the most get served last. In my sites, the squeky wheel doesnt get the grease, it get replaced or ignored.

I have paid over $10,000 in commissions since the beginning of 2018 ... just not to the whiners who like to complain.

My mother taught me to treat others as they treat you. If you want to bad mouth me, then don't expect me to treat you with respect in return. For every Facebook whiner, I have thousands of happy customers. Those are the people who I work for everyday.

So basically, I didn't get paid because I kicked off about not getting paid. (after numerous polite requests)

Personally, I would have greased the squeeky wheel. It solves the problem immediately.

Maybe  he can't actually afford to pay. Replacing every wheel that squeeks must be incredibly expensive.

I don't agree! You said "learn by your MISTAKE"? There's no way to KNOW it was a mistake

until one parts with their money UNLESS they do some research first. Most people don't do that until

after they purchase.

Matthew owed me money and I got refunded rather quickly because I warned him

not to play that game with me! Yes, you have to threaten that guy in order to get refunded it seems.

I don't recommend joining his mailers either.

....I'm speechless. Hardly even know what to say about that. Shocked.

That is not how you handle things. What you do is, RUN and pay what is owed to that member because it's your mistake overlooking it or delaying for whatever reason.

And you certainly do not brag about how much you are paying out to people, when people reporting that they are not getting ...PAID.

So, what happened? Does it just sit there in your account? For how long tho? if you dont mind me asking?

I believe he started out with good intentions, but then everything after that has been a steady decline. ie not paying commissions on solos, not answering tickets, launching ad sites with lifetime OTO fees only to relaunch the exact same site again with a refresh (and charge again etc)

I think he is just being overwhelmed with his entire empire of ad sites, needs money to keep coming in, but can't maintain his day to day tasks.

Not just anyone can effectively run a network of ad sites. Matthew is trying, albeit falling short on a lot of fronts.  I am thankful however, whenever people attempt to launch some sort of advertising platform that myself can benefit from, because I am an advertiser and I believe that more advertising is better than less.

Then they shouldnt open more sites. Make the current ones sell first.

I have 17 sites with a bigger membership than what he has (it was more but I merged some into my 2 Pangea's which are very successful since doing that) but the sites are each programmed by me, from scratch in a text pad of all things. Pay my people out, answer my own support tickets, do my own graphics, and do my own dedicated  servers. And that isnt the entire list of what I do. No support people, no hired programmers, not even graphic design, no replicated scripts (copies). But I still pay people, which is also 5 figures in commissions a year too. It is not OK to excuse people when I kick my @ss every single day (no vacation for the past several years either) and a few others do the same level also. But those exuses would not survive if this was the restaurant world. The restaurants would go under.

BTW, I'm not here to bash people. I am just very blunt about things on how it is. And I do wonder what's up with putting out 20 sites with the same script and not paying people. He is one of the older owners on here, not the oldest but near it and this is unusual, the past couple years. I actually miss the orginal sites he had.

Well, Phil's reply from Matthew, might have put this into better perspective, at least for me. Because I've listened to one of his coaching videos, where he goes into depth about how he treats his five star prospects for long-term benefits, focusing all his attention on them etc. I guess, if you're not in this category for some or other reason, you're no longer important to him.

I think it has to be pointed out, that the man considers himself to be a legendary list builder. In my opinion, he launches and relaunches so many sites because they're a trawling net for prospects. One of the best "lead magnets" known in marketing is "free traffic". And sure he sells upgrades, of course, but the long-term benefits he's looking for are more related to his own personal list. I think it's more a case of come up with a new innovative idea around a mailer, enough to generate excitement and pull in subscribers (same script, just a clone and a new idea). I don't think he was always like this, I think he's been "sharpening" his skills and tweaking his business in a way that he's managed to justify to himself and is trying justify to those who will listen to him.

The sad thing is, I actually started emailing one of his "partners" regarding my commissions explaining that, as a partner, he was now liable for my unpaid commissions.

He was really upset about the situation and stated that he had had similar emails from other unhappy members about not being paid, and was in the process of trying to get a refund on his investment, with no success.

I really wish I'd kept the email for proof. but, alas I didn't.

In my early days, I genuinely used to look up to Matthew as someone I wanted to aspire to be, whereas now, I aim to be the exact opposite and genuinely care about my members.

In a roundabout way, he taught me well.

Well, I believe you, I know who you are (philba) no need for copies of emails. There is another thread about that here anyway. The partner program... he needs to be careful as that is an investment. Like stock investment, buying a part into the profits from then on.

To run things and survive, not only care about members - care about everything. Quality of things, gettings ducks in a row, immediately kill obstacles too.

Boy i wished i would have seen this thread long time ago. Yes he owes me commissions and did not add solos to my soload account for 3 months in row and had to call card company cancel the card and have them send new one with new number to get his subscription from running and stealing my money.

I am a site owner for several mailers/safelists and it is my responsibility to protect my members so this is what you see when you log into my sites from now on.

Do not Post Matthew Graves sites here they will not be approved as he does not pay hard earned commissions. I can attest to this myself and refuse to put any site on here that i know does not pay commissions to protect my members.

I encourage other owners to not let his site be posted on your sites either. Do not let a scammer keep scamming.

BTW i did save all the emails i sent him and i am not shy.

Fortunately, I'm not that passive. Hopefully others aren't either. What you suggest is not a solution... it's capitulation!

There's truth and wisdom in Zanezim's comment too. When something like this happens, you learn to identify the signs, and while I'm all for spreading the news of a con artist, I'm also keen to move on, wiser for my experience. To my mind, there's no grey area. If someone doesn't pay commissions, and/or doesn't respond to support requests within a reasonable time frame. Avoid like the plague, cancel payments to them, stop promoting them etc. It's not worth waiting around and wondering if its going to happen, or if the owner is going to reform. Unfortunately, there's very little hope that they will.

There is someone sending an ad on his own safelists pointing to links about this, going back to 2013 to current, to forum threads, including this one. I mean they are sending this on his own safelist... It's sad really. I saw this email yesterday

Did they begin, I mean a set?

Not that I've noticed. He called it the launch of the 2.0 version of the Your Viral Network, starting with one site and spreading to the others. I haven't been following updates or changes in those sites though, pretty much lost interest.

all of matthew grave's viral safelists have responsive members, i got sign ups from them but i never upgraded one site that offers banner rotators was degraded and the central attraction of it which is to rotate banners functionality have been removed. i still kept my premium membership due to referrals made. i got my upgrade free.
