firebyfifty Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 Hi All, I'm currently building my own product / website and graphic design and banner hosting has always been a weak point for me. I am wondering if anyone can suggest any good training and/ or good quality banner makers? I have done a bunch of googling and have found a few banner creator type websites as well as some info on how to make and host my own after using canva to make the images but I am throwing out the call for any pros on here that may have any advice before I make a decision on which way to go and what to use. Thanks in advance.. CheersNate Quote Nate Scifleet Author and Owner of 90 Minute Residuals http://www.90minuteresiduals.com/banner2.png
Darren Olander Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 I've always paid to have my banners made, bannersmall has always been good to me, but haven't used them in years. I know some people use BannerMakerPro to make their own banners. I'm sure Canva can work too, not sure about the differences as I said I tend to pay for my banners. To find good website templates I've used Themeforest, many of my site designs have come from there. Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog
weblord Posted January 19, 2020 Report Posted January 19, 2020 im using adobe illlustrator to design the text so it's sharp and i use adobe livemotion to add animation to it and also adobe photoshop to add some pizzaz to it, but be careful with photoshop because it will make it bit by bit meaning image not vector. decide first on the final size like 468x60 pixels then design everything the finishing touch is adobe photoshop dont resize anymore. i hope it helps.Hi All, I'm currently building my own product / website and graphic design and banner hosting has always been a weak point for me. Paying might be my best option to save time and the learning curve on an aspect I am useless with. Thanks for the advice, several adobe products might be out of my price range for my needs (just a handful of banners) for this project but it is something I hadn't considered so will do a bit of research on using adobe. firebyfifty Posted January 20, 2020 Author Report Posted January 20, 2020 Just thought I would update this. After pretty much a full day of googling and trial and error I have managed to find a quick and easy method to create really cool banners using Canva (which is cheap and I already had for logo and website design stuff) and then using cpanel to upload and host on my website. I know this may seem easy and obvious to some, but for someone who has always struggled with this aspect it was a really cool achievement for the day. Vilmarketing Posted July 2, 2020 Report Posted July 2, 2020 I, myself, use banner maker pro to create banners. I believe their system is easy to use and self explanatory. I also love the fact that it's on my desktop therefore I don't have to be connected to the internet to work on my banners. Kevin J Timothy 1 Quote Need Affordable Web Hosting? HACCP76 Posted April 16, 2023 Report Posted April 16, 2023 Canva is fantastic and so quick and easy to use. If you are a creator online then I think this is the way forward. I use it all the time for my own product creations, banner, web pages, etc. I design in canva then use a site called pic resize to resize the image into whatever size I need, such as 468x90 banner.Example: Then I host it on img hosting for free and copy image url to use over and over again.
