Safelist Membership Upgrade Factors

What factors determine whether or not you upgrade your membership level in a safelist?

 

For example, does the size of the membership base make a difference? I am reluctant to upgrade in any safelist where the owner/admin does not state the number of members, preferrably active members.

Unless I know it is a quality mailer already, or is having a very impactful launch, I would tend to test it first using a free membership/credits.. and then if it is providing good value for the price take the upgrade.

Site owners reputation is a massive one for me.

 

Also... if they are new to the niche then I would see how much effort has gone into the site to make it unique. (graphics, video, customization etc)

 

It's easy to get hold of a script and throw up a site without too much effort.

   Number of Active Members.
