Hi,

I need an alternative to Facebook. I am getting tired of their constant flipflopping on my account access.

Thanks

There are lots of alternatives. The one I like best is Webtalk because they pay you when the people you invite become active.  http://news.webtalk.co/6513843

I am a member of webtalk, but not active there. Is it better to advertise there?

I like Webtalk better. I also advertise on LinkedIn.

I'm surprised not to see ApSense mentioned more often.

It is very internet marketing friendly with many different ways to integrate promotions with standard networking amongst other business folk.

Great for reaching online business people of all kinds too, not just fellow internet marketers.

The integrated promo channels include such thngs as a business centre, articles, spotlights, posts/ads that are then offered across all members in return for credit points......they even have their own internal traffic exchange.

All this for FREE too. Of course, it goes further for an upgrade, but it certainly isn't necessary to get some really good use out of the site.

The only downside, IMHO, is that the many groups are rarely well monitored so they often become simple ad-posting spots.

WT Social, which bills itself as "the non-toxic" social network, claims to be the polar opposite of Facebook. Jimmy Wales, a co-founder of Wikipedia, founded the service, which focuses on text and visual interactions.

You have the option of logging in using your Facebook or Twitter account or creating a new account. Then, so that WT Social can generate your feed, you'll be asked to follow your interests through the relevant subwikis.

I recommend cashjuice they don't care what you promote in there and they even have their own traffic exchange (two of them) One is internal and the other is external

but its really a social platform for people who are marketing business opps online.  Good luck.

Reading this is a good thread with some good alternatives and while I also use apsense in terms of a good alternative to Facebook, I have found that this is a great community and works on the same or similar lines as Facebook, plus you get email notifications in your inbox too, which is something I like.

Well worth Trying in my book
