Phyllis Wolfe Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 HelloI have been experienceing computer problems since last October and do not know where to go from here. I was hoping someone would have some suggestions for me. I used to surf about 10 to 12 sites at one time. Now I encouter either incorrect clicks or verification errors every time I surf. Of course some sites do not function this way but the majority do. The incorrect click or verification will happen for around 5 minutes at a time and of course at this point, no credits are earned. So if I happen to be surfing to 100 sites, it may happen about four or five times. Some traffic exchanges will even log me out and not let me surf after that. Also, some of the ad mail I receive, will give me incorrect click after clicking on the link. At first I thought it was Mozilla, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Did not help. I installed other browsers and tryed them. Same thing. I have installed window registry programs, virus programs, and have run constant maintenance on my computer. I spend days on the phone with my ISP which is a satelite provider and according to them, everything is great on their end. I am presently running windows XP home edtion. If anyone else has encountered a similar problem, I would love to hear from you.If anyone has any suggestions where I could go from here, I would so appreciate it. This has become a frustrating problem and is slowing me down considerably. Darren Olander Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 Hi Phyllis, I don't think this is a problem with your computer, although I could be wrong.. I think it is just the way the scripts are for those sites. Have you contacted the sites about the problem? I noticed in some sites if you open more than one mail at a time they will always give an incorrect click. Johnnybync and KarasevLS 2 Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog
Maria McCarthy Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Phyllis, I don't know how it is for the TEs but for many of the safelists using the LFMVM script these days, you will encounter incorrect click errors even when you are clicking on the correct links. I don't know why this is.. but I figured out a solution the problem a couple of months ago that has worked for others when they have tried it. We don't know why this started happening, it might have been one of the many LFMVM script updates... it could be for another reason... but a couple of months ago many of the sites started running as if they were "partitioned" sites or dual sites. Meaning you would get one version of the site if you had the prefix WWW in the browser bar before the site url and you might get another if you DIDN'T have the WWW prefix. I would make an update, say with an image on my site and I would either see that update or not depending on whether or not the WWW prefix was in my browser bar. Chances are that if you are getting the incorrect click errors because of this same issue, you are viewing ads on that particular site WITH the www prefix. Try to back out of the site and reload the page without the WWW and then log in. It should open all other pages on the site for you WITHOUT the WWW. prefix. Pay attention to make sure that is the case. Then try clicking on the ads to see if you are being credited for your clicks. This may or may not help you but I hope it does because I know it has helped others. I fixed my own site links so that members could ONLY open the page that opens credit messages WITHOUT the WWW prefix, so that they would not encounter this same issue at my site. I'm hoping that a near-future update of the LFMVM script will include this type of fix... Hope that helps! If that doesn't help... check to see if you've added any unnessecary toolbars or add-ons to your browser and make sure you keep your browser free of too many extras that you don't need. They are one of the biggest culprits that cause issues for users of TEs and Safelists. Many of the online programs that you can download for free these days try to sneak in browser add-ons so always be careful to UNCHECK that you approve of this when downloading free software... Phyllis Wolfe Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 Thanks Darren and Maria for replying. I did try the www suggestion and it made no difference. I did try surfing one site at a time and it was better but still had problems. I have contacted some site owners and they have given me different suggestions, however, none of them worked. Since I posted the problem, I have disabled my add ons and that has made some difference also. Sorry John I am unable to get to you on Skype at this point but thanks for the offer. I really appreciate the help everyone is offering! Still baffled on this end! Quote Free 'Advertising System' Traffic & Exposure http://llclick.com/280m4k5s
John Priestley Posted July 15, 2014 Report Posted July 15, 2014 This happens to me sometime, too, so I am really interested in hearing anyone who has a solution. Best regards, John. Quote
Phyllis Wolfe Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 As an update to my original problem... With the end of windows XP my computer also decided to give up on me so I went out and bought a Mac and guess what, same problem.Upon contacting my service provider about my problems of validation problems in traffic exchanges it took five people until I found one who knew right away what the problem was. He told me that their service has an accelerator build into it which the traffic exchanges do not like. He removed it from my service so I could continue to surf. Problem is, when my modem goes down it readjusts itself and puts the accelerator back on. So every time my modem has to be restarted, which happens often during rain and snow storms,I have to call them back and have the accelerator taken off again. Quite annoying, however, my only other option for internet in this area is dial up. Oh yay! So generally I surf until I get frustrated and then call them up. The other solution is to choose the traffic exchanges and list mailers that it doesn't affect because there are quite a few out there that operate differently and are not affected by this accelerator. John Priestley Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Sounds like you are out in the sticks. Even here in Europe the Internet is not easily accessed everywhere. Where I live is at the end of a long cable and that slows down my access considerably. I hope you don't get too frustrated, John. Quote
Steve Man Posted December 14, 2014 Report Posted December 14, 2014 Hi try going to tools top left page then from menu click compatabilty then add that site to list then try again.besides the usually clear cache, cookies, ect it might be script problems BUT if it was working ok before unless scripts have changed it could well be a simple browser problem. Phyllis Wolfe Posted December 26, 2014 Author Report Posted December 26, 2014 Hi SteveI am not sure where you mean. I am on a mac and when I bring down tools there is no compatibility listed. Do you mean on Fire Fox? Or my computer? Yes I do clear my cache, history etc. often. Sometimes that works with some sites. Thanks for the reply. It certainly causes problems especially when it keeps logging me out. Quote Free 'Advertising System' Traffic & Exposure http://llclick.com/280m4k5s
ajayala580 Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 This was an issue for me also Phyllis, until I started using Traffic Browser, Now I am able to run up to 15 TE at once and generate a great amount of promotional leverage. You may want to Try this, it's FREE... You have the option to upgrade if it takes care of the errors you are getting, I sure am happy I got into this program... Quote
