paulserban Posted April 5, 2014 Author Report Posted April 5, 2014 A fact that I hate it very much is to validate each email (I'm considering sites that Nerdmailer, Mailourlist, Soaringmailer, Viralsafelistmailer, Globalsafelist, Theleadefect, etc. )I have written to a few sites, and the answer was that they're doing this to thank the members that send emails. I don't understand how it can be their customers more satisfied if I give clicks on icons like a monkey in the laboratory. In fact timer is set to 5 to 10 seconds. Wouldn't be more satisfied their customers if the timer would be at 15-20 seconds and not those icons? Darren Olander Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Well some type of anti-cheat protection is important I believe, otherwise you can have a site full of bots that just earn credits on their own. However, you do make a point... how often should that verification be needed? Maybe every email is unnecessary. Quote Founder of Marketing CheckpointMy Blog
Jerry Iannucci Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 I've stopped using all of the ones that force you to view ads before you can send. I almost forgot sites were still doing that. My pet peeve is still making me wait exactly 24 hours before I can send again. Makes it almost impossible to submit at the same time every day. Guest Clare Johnson Posted April 8, 2014 Report Posted April 8, 2014 I agree, it is frustrating having to wait exactly 24 hours....I have reminders come up every day to tell me to do my mailings and sometimes it's not always the exact time that i'm doing my mailings. Quote
paulserban Posted April 8, 2014 Author Report Posted April 8, 2014 Never you can post after exactly 24 hours, it will always appears delays. Kenny Kolijn Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Paul, those icons are there for reason, to prevent cheating. But cheaters always look for new ways too...Those icons also make people look at the page even if it's just a fraction of a second.Using Software and bots just isn't a wise choice. It's against the rules and it will get you banned. The whole idea is that people visit each other's site in return for credits.I'm getting great results with List Avail with my lifetime upgrade. And even if I have enough credits, I still read some mails regularly to support the site and to boost the activity. After all, I want to get the most out of my upgrade, and being active will give other members more clicks and over time also bring new members on board If you use Google Calendar, you can of course edit the entry in your calender right after you have sent an email at a particular mailer so that future events in your calendar are updated to that time too. It doesn't take much time at all. And there are other tools too, that show you when you can send again at your favorite mailers. gnana Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Nobody likes to click on icons to earn credits. But Unfortunately that is one of the ways to prevent cheaters from abusing the site. My pet peeve is still making me wait exactly 24 hours before I can send again. Makes it almost impossible to submit at the same time every day. Waiting exactly 24 hour delays to an extent of mailing every other day. May be we should install an add-on that automatically resets the mailer when the server resets? paulserban Posted April 19, 2014 Author Report Posted April 19, 2014 I laughed a lot: Safelistking provides 0.5 points for surfing with clicking icons!!! What about the number o members? I have sensation that there are a lot of cheaters in these safelists. How is it possible to receive traffic 10 times more from a list that has ten times less members than another? Darren Olander Posted April 19, 2014 Report Posted April 19, 2014 How is it possible to receive traffic 10 times more from a list that has ten times less members than another? Many list sizes are inflated. For example, if a site claims 100k list you can mail to, I would bet that 90% of that list is inactive and will never even look at the email. I can speak for myself that my sites are constantly scrubbed, so you ONLY send to a list that has a RECENT history of reading and clicking on mails. Anyone who is not reading we stop sending them mails, so as an advertiser you get the most value. Some other lists clean up their member sizes as well so you aren't sending to "dead" prospects, but there are quite a few that will claim the higher numbers just to look good and as a result youwill receive a very low CTR because those people just aren't reading the email. paulserban Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 Sometime ago I discovered a member with over 50 accounts in Downlinebuilderdirect and another with more than 20 in Listbuildingmaximizer. I have written to the support and the replay was that cannot be detected these accounts. It's really true?In any case I have deleted my accounts from these sites, as their only measure has been to introduce clicks on icons (there were 200-300 messages per day!) Glen Palo Posted April 23, 2014 Report Posted April 23, 2014 One of my pet peeves are the safelists that only allow one window to be open at a time. And then add a 15/20 second timer. It's annoying to look at a splash page that I've seen hundreds of time for 20 seconds. Some sites allow a limited number of webpages to be open at a time. As a surfer, I can live with that. Quote

As a surfer, I can live with that.I am according with you. Some sites offer 0.2 or 0.5 points for a page view. I am waiting the near feature when it would possible to send an email to 0.2 or 0.5 persons! I know that is important to have a list. Doesn't matter how big is the list, more important is to have a good relation with your list. There are some safelist where I have sensation that the owners are my enemies. They get the worst condition to work and there are a lot of restriction.I don't wonder when I receive an id more than 40,000, but list is only 1,500-2,000 members. The conditions are so bad, then the people come and then goes quickly! Sean Supplee Posted April 28, 2014 Report Posted April 28, 2014 few things on this topic, If your site has no anti cheat what so ever then you are totally open to bots and other garbage traffic which is just going to inflate stats and ultimately destroy your site. On the other hang a longer timer really means nothing either yeah you can force someone to have your site open for 30 seconds but good chances are they will go off to another tab. The true ultimate mailer would have 1 site to be clicked at a time with a solid 10 second timer or a bit higher and force the page view. Why don't any mailers (at least that I know of) do this?Honestly id love to and ive tried lol but the numbers just dont hold the majority of members just dont get it and just want more credits and forget about trying to educate the masses tried that to that good old 95% 5% rule always seems to apply which sucks. However what all LFMVM and all other mailers should get in the habit of doing is clearing out your dang lists! There are so many crap junk accounts your mailing to on many of these sites its just dumb. But its hard to compete with a site saying they have 60k people you can mail compared to one that has a legit 3k people to mail. Just a numbers game and the "majority" of people dont care and just think bigger numbers are better. Quote
paulserban Posted May 6, 2014 Author Report Posted May 6, 2014 A problem with some safelists is the fact that is not possible to send a mail to whole list as a free member. How can I know that the list is a good one to become a paid member? Stephan Berg can say me that TheLeadMagnet is #1, but when I can send a mail to 300 members from 17,000, the results are not so good.If I have won credits (thousand or more), I consider to let me to email all my credits, or give me a trial period to test the list!I plan to no surfing to these lists more than I need credits. I don't lose anything, but the site will lose traffic! paulserban Posted May 14, 2014 Author Report Posted May 14, 2014 I don't know why owners of some safelists don't take a look to the competitors and maintain the worst condition for working with their safelists.Maybe they don't want to have to many subscribers!?!
