Amazon Payments

So, Amazon announced Amazon Payments today, a new competitor to PayPal. (https://payments.amazon.com)

 

This is huge news, so my questions for you...

 

Will you use this as a customer, or would you still always prefer PayPal?

If you own a site, do you plan to integrate this anytime soon as a payment option?

My old business professor used to say that competition is always healthy. At least it would give us an alternative way to pay online.

There are some advantages, the first is a cheapper fee than PayPal.

 

I must to see depper the term of use, maybe I'll make an account there.

There are plenty of consumers who don't like PayPal for whatever reason. Amazon may be equally, if not more widely, accepted across the world for purchases. Based on limitations I'm sure Amazon is turning down quite a few potential accounts but I'd imagine they'll change limitations in the future.

I will definitely consider using this new payment portal and had no idea about this being made available so thanks for posting this Darren. Perhaps their restrictions relating to business opportunities will be more entrepreneur friendlly as well as the amount of business one can do over 10K.

I will use the amazon payment. But I'm not sure if it's already available globally?
