Darren Olander Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 What is the most you've ever spent on a training course, and was it worth it? When I first got started I spent about 1k or so on the butterfly marketing course and that gave me an incredible boost to my income due to what I was able to do and learned from it... so that was totally worth it. Recently I've spent $2,500 on a course but it's in progress so we'll see how that goes. Sure, you can find a lot of information free, but I think investing to learn from the right people and learn some things that might not be readily available is also important... agree? oldbuddy Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 The most I spent was about $100 for the manuscript to the butterfly marketing course and I did learn enough from it to make it worthwhile, but I certainly didn't get rich as the copy eluded to on the website. I should clarify, I am not online to become another deep pockets guru. I retired 15 years ago and wanted something to keep my mind occupied, so I got involved online and have never regretted it. I have not spent one penny from our household budget and don't plan to now, but I have added tens of thousands of dollars to our retirement travel fund and enjoyed it more than I can express. I will be eternally grateful for the Internet! Quote
InternetBubba Posted September 18, 2015 Report Posted September 18, 2015 For me personally, I have spent nickels and dimes (lead in products) up to 99.00. My theory is to check out the value of the lead in product (which obviously goes through he upsell funnel) to kick the tires. Most of the lead in products are a disappointment, usually dated material and or generic step information. I should add, that I have been in the Web Development business for years, So I am a bit calloused on "Hype" marketing (although I understand if it works, it works). Your next questioned is why am I here, The story is long but for all tense and purposes, some of my skills are dated, and I have been out of the "loop".So I am trying to get my feet wet in the informational side of the industry. I will be eternally grateful for the Internet! The internet is the most powerful tool in the world, to harness just a portion of this technology will provide plenty of income from the comfort of your home, the beach, or some far away land. It forever changed the world. Quote
jprichards Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 I haven't spent that much on training "yet" but if the right one comes along I'm not afraid to spend some moola. Not a training course per se but I was just looking at this program called MOBE and from what I researched on another forum is that the costs to get started at the max level is 15K plus Good lord! preciousns Posted June 2, 2016 Report Posted June 2, 2016 Sadly, I spent hundreds when I joined Ipas 2 and Empower network last year...not worth it at all for me. I personally don't mind spending money on training courses, so long as its of value and doesn't cost $100s-$1000s a month Not a training course per se but I was just looking at this program called MOBE and from what I researched on another forum is that the costs to get started at the max level is 15K plus Good lord! Yea I did some research on MOBE a few days ago and can't believe the costs involved. I thought Empower Network was bad...until I saw MOBE!! Quote ==>
Ed Forshaw Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 Hi Darren, I have not spent any money for training courses. Why? Just look around you and you will find unlimited resources for free. I have to agree with the Capt'n on this one. Since I first started online years ago I was always distrustful of so-called 'training courses".The blatant b.S. used to promote them was an obvious clue to their uselessness. If they worked that well, why are the people that promote these things still working and not on the beach or out driving sports cars like they promise their customers? I learned everything I needed to know and still do learn every day by using google search and reading. It's all free and any info you could ever need is out there.Save your cash for advertising. Guest mrclean0325 Posted June 3, 2016 Report Posted June 3, 2016 I will have to say I have never regretted the training materials I have purchased over my lifetime. The money I spent for conferences and live training were well spent. It is just not the same reading about when you are there and can actually pick peoples brains over drinks. I have spent hundreds and thousands for different training materials over the years. Some you can still buy on the Internet today. When I started, it was cassette tapes and a book. Dating myself a bit there huh? Most of the information in those course I have not found "free" on the Internet and I have looked. You sometimes have to pony up the dough to get educated. preciousns 1 Quote
