For me solo ads worked best, giving away something for free that people really want.

 

I agree.  Giving something away has always worked.  As long as it's something people would

be willing to pay for (it has perceived value).

I draw attention to my offer through solos and traffic exchanges. Both have given me equal sign ups. Maybe because of the free offer at the opt in.

I have found the most success using sites and services that allow me to message people are their contact email addresses. Namely, credit mailngs, lead generating sites, as well as various solo ad merchants. I have dabbled in Facebook PPC ads but those are fairly cost prohibitive, so I keep a very close eye on those types of campaigns.

 

As far as keeping tabs on what's new coming out, I'm always on the lookout for new launches in my main email inbox and also check this new safelist alert site from time to time: http://topviralmailers.com/index.php?prolister

True,  Facebook ads can get epensive and it's only going to get worse when it becomes more and more popular.

I think there are many free traffic sources that can be used to get eyes on a high quality free offer to build  your list.

 Pay-Per-Click. Specifically, for me, Bing Search Ads.

For me the solo ads are too expansive, but I am using paid traffic from time to time.

I get the best results from Backpage, actually.

 

As long as you space out your postings with 5 minutes

in between, you won't get them ghosted.  Other than

that downfall it's an underrated source for leads.

 

I have yet to find a more efficient classified ad site.

 

...and yes, I do track the ads for my best performers.
